Clowney in the 1st and Carr in the 2nd?

Will anyone be happy with this Draft day scenario?

Ecstatic with Clowney in the first and Carr has value in the second at least.

I could live with that scenario. We would have to trade up with Houston to get Johnny so Carr won't be a bad consolation. Getting the best defensive player and 2nd best QB in the draft would be a win IMO.

I think, especially given Gus' appreciation of Carr at the Senior Bowl, that this could be fantastic for us.

I dont know that I believe there is a franchise QB in this draft. However I think Carr has less chance of becoming one than many of the QBs available. He just gets rattled by pressure too easily.
I'd be happier with Clowney first and then a guy like Garop in the 3rd. And I want us to grab Tom Savage in the 6th. ________________________________________________ Scouting well is all that matters. Draft philosophy is all fluff. id rather get Mettenberger or Garrapalo in the 3rd and get another playmaker in the 2nd
If Carr is there at 2 , would love to trade with the Vikings for more picks .
Im not sold on Carr, But whatever our team thinks is best i will still follow... I know for sure I do not want him with the 3rd overall pick tho.
As long as we get Clowney in the first I am happy. I would LOVE to get Carr in the second. I get many people say he gets rattled by pressure.
But... His first year starting he threw a pick once every 50 passes. His second year starting he threw a pick once every 73 passes. His last season starting he threw a pick once every 82 passes. He threw 24 picks total in three years and in over 1600 passes. If that's as bad as it gets when he is "under pressure" and "rattled", I can live with that. Let us also not pretend he had a top tier line in college or had top tier talent around him. Is he amazing? No. Is he a sure fire pro bust? No. Likely somewhere in between. We just saw a team that had a better defense and above average QB win a Super Bowl, and beat the best offense to ever take the field. Carr can work in the NFL. Arkane, that's an excellent point. If Carr could become even a serviceable QB for us as we build a legitimate talent base with this team, I think we would be better for it. Honestly, I'll be excited with whoever we get as long as it's not another OLman.

I quite like Carr, so getting him at 39 would be good by me. Doubt very much he doesn't go in the 1st though.

People stop making these silly threads because we're getting bridgewater which the 3rd overall pick so get over it.

I know youre not expecting him to be our franchise QB, but disliking Carr due to how he handles pressure and wanting Savage who cant handle blitz pressure and the pressure of holding a starting spot with competition is baffling to me.
