Who will be the surprise 'faller' this year?

Quote:We ran a pro style system, none of the running around stuff

You had to be disciplined, you had to have great timing with your receivers and you had to be patient in the pocket

In the NFL it is the same way, thats how you win in the NFL, from the pocket.

Russell may roll out and run time to time but he is disciplined, has great timing and is patient

So what? If you know anything about football, you know a guy who takes snaps from the center and throws the ball, hands it off, or runs with it is a quarterback, no matter what type of offense he runs and how he plays the position.

If Wiseman says one more thing about Johnny Manziel not being a quarterback because of the way he plays, I will forever call him Stupid Man.

Call me whatever you want, just don't be surprised when Manziel falls.

I won't try to rub it in

I will not be surprised no matter when he is picked in the first or second round unless the team that picks him does not need a quarterback.

JW, he was using a figure of speech.  Obviously, he knows Manziel's position is QB at TAMU.  He means he isn't the guy you want running your offense.

She thinks you mean he literally doesn't play the QB position in any facet.

Thank you, any body reading what I was saying should have caught on to that

I would be sorely disappointed...

What figure of speech? That Johnny Football is not a quarterback?

Good thing you understand my thought process.

Not that he should, but does anyone think Michael Sam will fall to the 5th or 6th since he recently "came out?" I personally couldn't care less. Just maybe means great value can be had in the 5th now instead of the 3rd (where he was projected to go)

He wasn't going until day 3 anyway. For some teams he might drop (I doubt it though), but if anything I think if anything it might help a Jerry Jones or some other attention seeking owner drafting Sam in the third to get the publicity.

I think you couldn't be more wrong about Barr, especially after he blows up the Combine.

Teams were going out of their way to game plan for him this season, much like they were doing with Clowney.

sorry to go off topic

but i think the surprise faller may be louis nix he is considered a top of the first pick with me seeing him mocked to the giants at 12 a fair bit

Alot of the other dt prospects are rising and as much as i like him i think the knee injury will cause him to fall depending on the push and prodding at the combine

In addition he is the top of a group of big first round prospects like hageman jernigan and i think the knee may cause him to slip into the back end of the first and perhaps the second

alternatively it would not surprise me if one of the top wr's like mike evans or cornors slipped way down on a bad combine performance just due to the depth at the position.

once again sorry for going so wildly off topic

I assume Michael Sam thought carefully about the timing of his announcement and would have waited until after the draft if he had any reason to be concerned about that happening. Everyone says it will not hurt his draft stock in the NFL.com article about him. However, you are wrong about him going in the third round. He will be picked on the third day.

I'd be happy to have Michael Sam on this team in the later rounds.

I just hope all of the experts are right and he won't be a surprise faller for the wrong reason.

After the NFL Scouting Combine and Missouri's Pro Day, I will think more about him as a possible Leo candidate.
