Our picks after Round 2
|
We talk all the time about the first two rounds, but what about rounds 3-7? Which players or positions do you want the Jaguars to pick after Round 2? The Jaguars aren't getting any compensatory picks, but they do have one from the Lions (5-10) and two from the Ravens (TBD) for a total of 10.
To prevent confusion when talking about the fourth and fifth rounds I am calling them 4-5, Ravens 4, 5-4, 5-10, and Ravens 5. We are #3 in Round 6 and #7 in Round 7. Our third round pick is #6 (68 overall). A coin flip is required to know what are Ravens picks will be. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
As long as it is a player who improves the team at his position I don't care what position he plays.
We need linemen on both sides. We have picks for depth or a flier on a qb

After the 2nd round... I'd like Keith McGill CB, Marcus Martin C, Storm Johnson RB, Jeremy Hill RB, Donte Moncrief WR, Chris Watt G. I also will get flack for this one but with his stock really low , I like the idea of Tajh Boyd in the 5th or 6th.
It looks like Storm Johnson is getting a lot of love on this board. Is he projected as a fourth or fifth round guy?

I'm holding out hope for a long snapper in the third. That was the lone flaw Gene left us with, so hopefully we can get that fixed.

Dont know specific names at this point. But with the 6 picks from rounds 3-5 Id like to see: 2 OL, 1 RB, 1 WR, 1 LB, 1 DT. No specific order.

I really don't care who we draft as long as they can play!
I know these guys don't match up with the draft picks we have... Just some guys I think could work here. Early Mid Bryan Stork C Florida State 6-4 306 4-5 Daniel McCullers DT Tennessee 6-7 348 Mid Brandon Thomas OG Clemson 6-4 316 Jeff Janis WR Saginaw Valley 6-2 212 Later &/or FA Storm Johnson RB UCF 6-0 215 Aaron Lynch DE South Florida 6-5 244 Larry Webster DE Bloomsburg 6-6 249 Mike Pennel DT Colorado State - Pueblo 6-4 363 Added Late Wesley Johnson OT Vanderbilt 6-5 297 (Possible Move To Center) Quote:I hope you understand the difference between third overall and third round. How big of a difference would it make to us who wins the Ravens/Cowboys coin flip? I know there is some weird thing about 14 or 19 in the fourth round, but is the five-spot difference significant?

I'd like to see the Jags address QB in the first or second round, assuming the right guy is there, but Boyd is intriguing as a late-round guy who could come in and, with time to sit and watch, become a guy we could trade away for a higher pick than we spent on him. I'd love to see a running back in the third or fourth round, definitely some interior OL help, definitely some help along the DL, and a corner or two. You can never have enough young, developmental corners in today's NFL. That said, we could use help just about everywhere. For some reason, my gut is that Caldwell will draft for (eventual) starters and hit free agency for backups.
