This is what some of us have been saying from the begging. The problem with most of these movements is that the goal can never be attained to perfection. That's why it's a great facade for the real goal.

If you really think this is some sort of deep dark conspiracy to overthrow the capitalist system, aren't you giving these people a little too much credit? Do you really think a conspiracy that large is even possible?

You think Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany and Fascistic Italy happened by chance? “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

Remember that Janitor with no criminal record that was murdered by the cop in his car as he reached for his permit to conceal carry? That was worthy to protest over. Rioting over criminals just screams trying to incite a civil war... lots of people are VERY angry that people are burning and looting over criminals that refused to comply. They are trying their best to incite rage and civil war.
It is good that the country is less racist now than 15 hours ago. Good on the NBA players for taking PTO and solving systemic racism all in a night.

I don't know what it would take to convince, you, dude. The more I learn, the more obvious it has become that this is being organized. The movement is organic, don't get me wrong, but it's not happening by chance. BLM was created by self-professed Marxists, who were trained community organizers. They know they can use culture as a tool to dismantle the system and have honed in on the most effective methods: Race/Sex/Gender. This didn't happen out of thin air, but after a long, slow push to overthrow capitalism. Let me see if I can give you a brief rundown: Early 1900's: Marxism is not taking off like people hoped. The poor are not overthrowing the rich like they hoped. Enter Critical theory. Critical theory says there must be other tools of oppression that keep a citizenry tied to capitalism. Critical theory attempts to deconstruct society by breaking down norms and attacking cultural stability. This branches into Critical Race theory, queer and gender studies, and feminist studies. Enter post modernism: Disenfranchised Marxists begin to question if anything can really be known. Long story short, the answer is no. This results in a pseudo rejection of Marxism (but, in reality, it's just a rejection of everything). Then you get a group in the late 70's, early 80's that bridges the deconstructionism and dislike of capitalism of Critical theory with the unknown truisms of postmodernism. This results in intersectionality: when something is unknown, you take the side of the group that is the most oppressed. Intersectionality is the "order" of the social justice movement, and the goal is to overthrow capitalism. The error the right seems to make is diving into the specific for each instance of a systemic problem. You can't convince thousands of people to protest over one person's experience. They are each protesting based on their own experiences, which are maybe less egregious but have the same theme.

Incorrect on all counts. Comply and you'll be safe. The janitor was complying and got murdered. That's egregious. People flagrantly defying police are going to get hurt or killed. And it happens to white people too. More often. Just never reported. There are many egregious situations. Even a punch or a kick from police, if you have surrendered and are complying, is egregious. The racial aspect is important to understand, but it's a side issue to the main points: Police are not using de-escalation tactics enough, and they are using guns in situations where less lethal weapons would work. www.joincampaignzero.org

Time to ban all professional sports. The exploitation of black people's athletic prowess has to stop. It's barbaric and no better than gladiators in ancient roman times.

So... rioters destroy things because criminals get what criminals get.
But when a black man who supported the second amendment is murdered by a scared hispanic cop... crickets.... If that's not a clear signal of them trying to incite a civil war I don't know what is. (08-27-2020, 11:04 AM)The Real Marty Wrote: It's hard to see where all this protesting and stuff ends, because there is no achievable and measurable goal. "Racial justice" is a laudable goal, but it is not measurable, so you can't tell if you have gotten there or not, so how does everyone climb down from all this protesting? Racial justice is garbage and always has been. You'll never get rid of individual racism, but there is not a system of racism in place. As proven by the massive amount of white people that don't comply that get killed.
