Trey Burton

Haven't heard much about him this off season.

Does anyone know what position he is going to be in the NFL?

I think he is a pretty good player, and could be a benefit to some team.

He is kind of a swiss army knife type guy right? I say that because hasn't he played Qb, RB, TE, FB? Could be worth a late round pick..

Yeah, he always seemed like a big time play-maker to me, just the Gators never used him that much.  Later in his career anyways.  Seems like he would be a good flanker type.

I don't know how many positions he played at Florida, but I remember he was not just a quarterback. What was he listed as at Florida?

Michael Robinson was listed as a quarterback, but mostly played running back and wide receiver at Penn State. He was a running back in San Francisco. In Seattle, he's a fullback. So my guess is Trey Burton will be a running back in the NFL.

He did everything at UF on offense. QB / Wildcat QB / HB / TE / WR.... he was the go to guy seemingly for awhile, but I never felt he was used enough. He's pretty good, but I think his draft stock would have been much higher if they would have used him to his full potential. Could be pretty good in the NFL.

Who was the kid from UF that went to the Skins last year?  Somewhat same story.  Came to Hogtown as a QB.  Athletic enough to change positions but was really never highlighted in game plans.  Was never really the focal point of the offense.  Then he ends up at the Skins and is having a good year until hurt.  uh... Jordan Reed I think.

Is Burton as big as that kid?  Could he be an H-Back/TE hybrid type in the NFL?

Jordan Reed.  I think Burton is taller, but Reed has about 20 or 30 lbs on him.  That is kind of what I was thinking for Burton.

Why is it that the most versitile players rarely play? We almost never saw Denard Robinson after he got the cute "offensive weapon" title (which the NFL did not like because there is no such thing).

Trey Burton has always reminded me of Hines Ward.   Ward played RB, TE, and QB in college.   The problem with Burton is, in spite of looking like a talented player, he never did very much in college.
