Myles Jack extension : 4 years / $57 million

With that said, this Mickey Mouse set up of the front office makes it hard to access who is really responsible for the failures. I bet that Jack was given the extension by Coughlin, or a wink wink nod nod thing to Caldwell by Tom, to make an "example" of the good behavior that should be rewarded - in spite of the Ramsey situation. Looks like that also backfired on us too. Coughlin NEEDS to be outed from this organization 100%. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Hopefully Harrison, Murray or Moses are there for the taking on day two early for us.
Odds are we land at least one of the top three to five inside linebackers at the top of round two. I honestly think some of next year's holes can be resolved with better coaching but also with some positional changes. Draft a true ILB. Move Jack back outside. Hope Williams can stay healthy in year two. If they can land one of the top OT's and the top C or G in RD1 they need to pull the trigger. This allows them to shuffle Linder and Robinson around to better create lanes. This TE class is not top heavy on the early rounds but they have a chance to add guys that can help in the receiving game on day three. Calterra, Rice and Bryan are Goedert type prospects. Couple them with Oliver and O'Shaughnessy and you have some hope. I am starting to favor Stefanski. He balanced the Vikings out. Fixed Cousins and has turned them around. Could be just what we need. I am poaching a defensive assistant from Chicago, Baltimore or San Francisco though if I were him to be DC. Great Linebacker. Plays with great feel and instincts. Unfortunately, it’s a whole different game from MLB. Requires much more knowledge of tendencies and Xs and Os.
He should be moved back to his natural position as weak side linebacker. The experiment with him as MLB ended with ceding 3 straight 200 yard plus games.

Myles Jack is finally at his natural position. He is having a career year.

Y'all are honestly watching what Jack has done this year and think that's been the best linebacker in the league so far?

He has always been good when playing OLB but the move to WLB, his natural position is having a Pro Bowl type year. I disagree that he has been balling this year. He's been fine, but other than the two untouched QB hits that were more scheme than player, and the nice tackle on the shallow crosser against Campbell, I don't think he's really made any splash plays. It's mostly been a whole lot of oh look Jack tackled so and so 10 yards down the field again. I'd still much, much rather have that amount of cap space going toward a good player at a more impact position or available to spend next offseason. We show less advertisements to registered users. Jack has balled out early in this season and has been good against the run and the pass on top of being a captain, nice to see him at his position. He would be even better if the guys in front of him could do their job more effectively

I agree he has been solid and would likely be better with more talent around around him, particularly on the D-line. He is an exceptional athlete and an above average player, but not elite because he lacks instincts (maybe just poor coaching?). If he had Poz's Football IQ, he'd be an all-time NFL great, imo.
This is a results-oriented business. There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft". Our record with DC is 37-86. 6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership. These are the FACTS.
