Shad Khan confirms what everyone knew, we'll be drafting a QB (maybe 2) in this years draft

Clowney for sure

Quote:A few good choices in Free Agency I wonder if Dave will sign any of them, like Jarius Byrd, FS (Bills) imagine him and Cyprius in the backfield especially with a good pass rush...

I had the feeling that Dave would only build from the draft and not go with Free Agency though.

Yeah Cyprius is gonna be a beast.

Byrd was good but we wont be able to get him for what he is worth. Thank goodness Gene is gone or we would pay him the moon. Only guessing he will want about 9 million he is worth about 6 but at 6 i like him alot.

Can you imagine our offense if we don't get a QB or RB in the draft... and MJD leaves?

I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

I would rather have a team that shows improvement. Maybe get lucky in the later rounds this year with a QB

Go Jaguars! Go Hokies!

What if Lewis is gone too?  Chad Henne and Blaine Gabbert for a 3rd year of league low average stats.

I just don't get Bortles so far. Before the Bowl Game he was supposed to be a project that would sit on the bench for almost a year and develop. Now he's NFL ready?

Per Johnny:

"Johnny Manziel is the guy that -- whether it's Houston, Jacksonville, Cleveland or Oakland -- you'll have to drag off that field before I stop playing for those guys. Those are my teammates. Those are my brothers from now on. I'm going to fight until there's no time left on the clock. That's Johnny Manziel."

That doesn't make him a great QB is the problem.

Interview every qb in the draft, they will say the exact thing he says

I'm always amused when guys talk of themselves in the third person. Always good for a chuckle.

We were the worst this season.  It would be the same.  MoJo really didn't have a positive impact on the offense this year.  He's replaceable at this day and age.

Well, nobody really had a positive impact on the offense last year...  With that said, there were some nice runs MJD had where he finished the play off with punishing the defender that was tackling him...  I've always liked watch MJD finish off his runs.

It's clear that the consensus is that MJD is old and most likely done with the Jags.  I'm still hoping for some sort of miracle that will keep him here...  It will take some accommodations in negotiations on both sides though.  I'm not sure it'll happen, but that's my hope.

Geno missed this tidbit in last year's interviews in between his texting, tweeting, and Facebooking.

That makes me think of the dog at the dog track who is tugging and jumping and pulling on the leash as he's led in front of the crowd on the way to the starting gate. Yeah, he's anxious to start running but that doesn't make him the fastest dog in the race.

Quote:Any chances of our GM Dave signing Michael Bennett, DE from Seattle to aid in our pass rush, the team has the cap room and he worked under the same DL, DC/HC Gus?

He never played for either of them.  He joined Seattle last year.
