He got out of Jax, went to the Vikes and once they realized they suck they sent him to a Superbowl contender.
If he maintains his sack projection, he'll likely get paid pretty well by either Baltimore or some other team in the league and possibly gets a ring.

Psssh... he wasn't traded because he wasn't performing, he was traded because Minnesota is about to be in super rebuild and with Cousins contract, they don't have the cap to resign him. The tried to get back as much as they could from a trade they made going all in on this year, imo.

Yep.
They're gonna be almost as bad as us.

We'll be picking like 33rd and 35th in round two. And then at the top of round 4 twice as well if he makes pro bowl.

But what if the ravens win the super bowl? Doesn't it become a 3rd? I am now pulling hard for them ravens lol

I think the contingencies stick with the team that did the trading

Don't worry about that game. Cook will run for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns and Phielen and Jefferson will combine for a couple more touchdowns. If the Jaguars lose to Arizona (7.5 point underdogs), the only good chance of a win is against Houston after the bye week. They will then finish 2-14 and pick 2nd or 3rd in the draft.

Happy for Yan. No matter how yall try to downplay them, we could use both and Ramsey. They both got what they wanted. Ramsey made his money and Yan is playing for a winning team we still have the worst coaching staff/front office in the nfl.

So what ? His team was 1-5 just like the Jaguars...

Stroud said he wasn't an "elite DE" when he's statistically among the elite players right now.

Didn't say the Vikes were good, but that Yan has played well.

I wouldnt say elite.  Still a liability against the run

Wow.... I guess Ogbah, Graham and Hendrickson are elite too....

The guy can't stop the run.
He disappears in the biggest moments.
Watch his sacks

Again, funny how "elite" Yawn was already traded twice and this last time was for a very low third.

Maybe we should ask the Browns if Garrett is available for a second and a 4th  Rolleyes

If a player is so "elite" why does he get traded twice in one season before half of the season is even over?

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

If the Vikings for all practical purposes are out of playoff contention after 11 games,  even what's considered a minor injury easily could be enough for Dalvin Cook to be kept out vs the Jaguars. That much more so after signing Cook to a lucratiive contract before tbe start of tbe season.

Without Cook, combined with all of the Vikings players that are already out for the season,  this is a game I believe the Jaguars would have at least a 50 % chance of winning if they are relatively healthy.

Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.

I mean, he's 4th in the league in sacks right now

His statline Sunday was 2 tackles. He isn't reliable enough to be "elite".

Reunited with Calais. This is probably a best case scenario for Yannick who should shine not being the focal point on the Ravens nasty D, in effort to get that mega deal. Feel bad for whoever gives it to him though. Good player, not elite.

Some of you are still so salty about Ngakoue LOL. It's hilarious.

The obsession with the usage of the term "elite" on this topic is hilarious.

I am not happy with how Yan ended his Jaguar career. At the same time he seems like a decent (if overly proud) guy. Hopefully Calais and him can win a super bowl.

Yawn is 67th out of 74 DEs in success pass rush rate, but he has a few sacks and a liability against the run. Thats the real reason the Vikings traded him.

Just because a player gets traded doesn't mean he isn't any good. Marshall Faulk got traded from the Colts to the Rams and wound up NFL MVP. I would offer more examples but it would interfere with the narrative that Nggakoue, who finished his Jaguars career as the team's second all time leading sacker and who currently has as many sacks as the Jaguars entire team, is somehow not any good.

He's got the same number of sacks as the entire Jags roster combined.

Cousins has been giving the D plenty of opportunity to see the field.

Yannick Ngakoue is not the absolute best football player to ever grace a football field. Therefor my argument that he is trash must be correct.

If the goalpost get moved any closer and wider, then even our backup place kickers could make them.
