I don't know, are you going to go out and start rounding up MAGA hat wearers if Trump doesn't concede in a few more days or weeks? What if Trump voters start rounding up and executing Biden supporters? There's a slightly demented woman in South Jax Beach who would be a prime target for that kind of activity, and yet she still sits out on her sidewalk with her [BLEEP] Trump and Trump is a Nazi signs and no one bats an eye. It seems to me that we are still in the peaceful transition of power stage in this country even if Trump has yet to concede. As NBB said, there's a lot of guns in this country, and that will hopefully give pause to the politicians who are too comfortable with their own tyrannical tendencies.

You mean like the guy who's lost, knows he's lost, has been told that he's lost, and is now trying to convince members of his party to throw out the votes of their constituents so he doesn't have to admit that he lost?

Love Trump, hate him or don't care about him, his true colors have been shown. Opening up dozens of [BLEEP] lawsuits with no evidence and a legal team as competent as a bunch of monkeys [BLEEP] a football, fine. "Inviting" state legislators to the White House to try and pressure them into throwing out the election results and sending electors favorable to Trump? No. [BLEEP] that treasonous pig and I hope he rots from January 21st on for the rest of his life in a prison cell. Not the ones carrying signs and voting for Black candidates--the ones that burned Minneapolis. You want to mess with the legal system, fine. You want to take the vote away from citizens so your tiny dick can become a tiny fascist dick-tator? No. Why and how people on both sides of the aisle haven't called him out as a traitor of the highest degree should be beyond me, but it's not. He's got millions of people hypnotized, and he's got the GOP political base terrified of him. Trump is dangerous, and more dangerous than ever now that he's shown his truest of true colors without any real consequences for it.

Lock him up. Preferably in general population at Guantanamo Bay, with the rest of the scum who sold out their country.

Not gonna lie, my sole purpose here was to come into this thread and mock Trump supporters, but I don't feel like it anymore. Anyone who still supports Trump has made enough of a mockery of themselves already.

Soooooooooooo you still mocked Trump supporters?

Did you feel the same way about Cheney in 2000?

You all thought the craziness would end with this election and they would get a relief bill out for the millions who need it? Nope, now the dems are blocking now for the runoff in Georgia because they think it will help them.

No relief for you!

1. I mock anyone who I feel deserves mockery. Frequently, that's myself. If you think anything I said applies to you or triggers you in any way, I do not apologize and do not regret any butthurt I may have caused you.

2. Funny. I've seen the refusal to pass a stimulus bill tied to just about everyone. The Democrats want a "we print all teh moneys!" package that will turn into an even bigger inflation bomb than the first bill did. McConnell didn't want anything passed before the election because he wanted to make sure Democrats were seen as unreasonable in hopes of killing their election chances. After the election, Trump [BLEEP] off to the golf course and has only shown up occasionally to remind us all of how great he is, and he's shown zero interest in actually governing or getting anything done since.

To be clear, I think this election went perfectly. Democrats removed a man who wants to be America's first true dictator, not a dictator-lite light FDR aspired to be, from the White House, but they failed to take the Senate (Loeffler might fall, Perdue's going nowhere), and Republicans gained in the House without taking it. It's a balanced government at its best. Nobody's going to get everything they want, and everybody's going to have to compromise to get some of what they want. This wasn't a broad condemnation of the GOP. It was a strong, loud and clear rebuke of Donald Trump and nothing else.

In normal circumstances I would agree with you but since 2009, the GOP has shown no guts for compromising.
This started before Trump.
I hope it changes back after Trump, but I see no reason to join you in assuming that it will.

Nothing triggers me.

You seem pretty confident about the Senate runoffs. Governor Abrams has already sent out 750K ballot requests for the runoff and we are only in November. When the Democrats use the same tactics you have turned a blind eye to, to steal the Senate election, you will realize your mistake even if that is just looking in the mirror telling the person looking back "I [BLEEP] up".

Just like Mitch couldn't do anything without Lisa murkowski, Chuck won't be able to do anything without Joe manchin.
if the GOP is ready to go back to behaving like a political party instead of a military junta again, it doesn't matter who wins the two Georgia senate races, either outcome would be fine.
If they're not, victory by the Democrats is very much preferred

I agree with you.  I wanted Trump removed, and at the same time I did NOT want the left wing of the Democratic party to gain any power.  So, really it worked out just fine as far as I'm concerned.  Biden has a perfect excuse for not going far-left.  And that is, "Sorry, I can't get that through the Senate."  The election was a victory for moderation.

There's nothing illegal about anything Stacey Abrams is doing. If it's going to be such a devastating handicap for Republicans, why aren't they doing they same thing? That's what I don't get. The ballots being sent out have both parties on them. Why wouldn't Republicans encourage their constituents to choose Loeffler and Perdue, then mail that back instead of hoping that everyone has a chance to get to a polling place on the 5th? Mail-in ballots broke well over 70% for Democrats, but they weren't only mailed to Democrats. Why on Earth weren't local and state Republican leaders telling people to fill out and return those ballots, even if national leadership was sticking their heads in the sand?

Loeffler might be boned. Lots of Georgians genuinely despise her for the trading she did after the Senate COVID-19 briefing that she was a part of, and the rest genuinely despise her because of what she did afterwards by continuing to tell Georgians that COVID was nothing to worry about. Plus she's running against by far the stronger of the two Democratic candidates. I still think she wins, because Democrats talk a good game, but they never show up for runoffs up here.

Perdue is in much better shape. He was a few third-party votes away from beating Ossoff outright. He was every bit as complicit in the lie-and-trade scheme that Loeffler took part in, but he's done a great job of making sure that stays stuck to Loeffler and doesn't land on him.

The mail in ballots are a massive issue which clearly favors one party. That is the problem. Georgians don't HAVE to show up for the runoff. The Republicans don't have the financial backing like the other party. They can literally fund this like a presidential election. This country is in desperate need of campaign finance reform either way.

I still believe Dems find a way to take the Senate which is going to change our country for generations to come. We deserve it.

Why does it favor one party? Why are Republicans incapable of saying, "Fill out your mail in ballots with Republican candidates and mail them back by December XXth"? Democrats are funding the mailing campaigns, sure, but those ballots are official ballots with all the candidates on them. Why is no one telling Republicans to fill those ballots out and send them back?

NOW the Republicans want to have campaign finance regulation?  How ironic.  Even if the Dems take the senate (not likely), Biden is a centrist and no big political shifts will happen.  Quit being so dramatic.
This is a results-oriented business.  There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft".  Our record with DC is 37-86.  6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership.  These are the FACTS.

Are you being serious?

Popular Vote:

Biden - 79,914,426
Clinton - 65,853,514
Obama (2012) - 65,915,795

NOW the Republicans want to have campaign finance regulation?  How ironic.  Even if the Dems take the senate (not likely), Biden is a centrist and no big political shifts will happen.  Quit being so dramatic.

Who wouldn't want campaign finance regulation?

You're not answering the question. Why didn't Republicans make the same mail-in voting push that Democrats did? It clearly worked to increase turnout, and it's clearly not going away, so why didn't Republican leaders say, "Hey, you know that ballot that showed up at your house? Fill it out and mail it back."? Trump won the hell out of election day in-person, but how many more could he have won if he'd worked to get the mail-in vote out instead of blasting it and scaring his supporters off of it?

...or did he know months ago that he was [BLEEP], needed something to blame, and knew that if his supporters heavily used mail-in ballots and he still lost, he wouldn't have that excuse?

Citizen's United. Lobbyists. Special Interest Groups.
This is a results-oriented business.  There are no trophies or titles given for "moral victories" or for "winning the draft".  Our record with DC is 37-86.  6-10 is our 2nd best season in 8 years of Caldwell leadership.  These are the FACTS.

Mail-in voting didn't do Trump in; Trump did Trump in.  He was an unmitigated, divisive disaster and motivated MILLIONS to vote him out.

FWIW, I know of 10 people who have never voted before in their life (2 of them are my brothers) who voted for the first time in this election because they dislike Trump.

My best friends grandma (she’s 88) and has never voted for a democrat in her life, voted for Biden because she hates Trump.

I think you’re underestimating how many people truly showed up to this election just because they hate Trump.

Similar to last election. I knew a lot of people who voted for Trump because they didn’t like Hillary.

I'm sure this is quite typical. It also explains the dearth of vocal Biden supporters previous to the election.

My youngest daughter voted for Biden because social media told her to. Hate to say it, but that's the truth.
