You need to watch Zach Wilson of BYU. I just started watching him and he's my new favorite QB in the class. I like him slightly more than Lawrence. The kid checks all the boxes for arm strength, accuracy, quick release, mobility and poise under pressure. I watched him not expecting much and I was blown away how good this kid is. He's miles better than Fields.

Wilson also makes a lot of odd arm angle throws that look like a shortstop. I love it.

Need him to play against a good defense in a bowl game though.

Big game coming up against Coastal Carolina. Should be a great test.

I think if he were going to do it, it would have happened after his freshman year.

We won't know who Wilson is until he plays a quality opponent. I see concerning throws sometimes but he does look good.

Fields is great also imo.

The only decent defense he has faced.  Last year when he played Clemson he had 2 picks.  5 picks in those 2 games alone. I hope our GM doesn't let the mocks influence him on which QB he picks. I honestly think mocks have influenced some GMs in the past.

That's because if they take whoever mocks think they should take then it won't be a controversial pick. If the pick is just a guy or worse then at least they took the safe choice. Nobody wants to be known as the guy that tried to be cute and failed.

I have to say, Haskins Does scare me about Ohio State a little bit. However, it seems like That Fields is the number two prospect, with a lot of talent. What would you give up to jump from 2 to 1 for Lawrence? I would personally give up our second first round pick or next year‘s first round pick, and maybe even throw in a fifth rounder if necessary. I would not give up more than that though. A lot of people came up with excuses of why Deshaun Watson would not work out in NFL, and look how that worked out. There’s always going to be some knock on these guys coming out of college for the most part.
