"Citing the nonpartisan economic think-tank Paulson Institute, the American Security Institute report underscores that "Chinese firms and investors own a controlling majority in nearly 2,400 U.S. companies."

These include: AMC Entertainment (entertainment), Cirrus Wind Energy (energy), Complete Genomics (health care), First International Oil (energy), G.E. I'm getting little bits and scraps from people, but I'm not getting any sort of plausible scenario where anyone could control the price of food in the United States.  The whole food supply chain is too gigantic.   And since the food we eat is mostly grown in the United States, how could any foreign country possibly control it?   You guys have gone off the deep end with this one.

By the way, a lot of those companies in that chart are not US companies.

Our meat may be grown here but it's sent to China to be packaged and sent back here to be sold in grocery stores. If China wanted to get nippy they could decide to not send it back.

I think it's 100% absurd meat is not packaged in the US. How much money is wasted? It's absurd.

I think it's a good thing for the Chinese to be invested in the United States.  That gives them a stake in our economic success.  If they hurt our economy, they hurt themselves.

That’s odd.  Because usually it’s not The China that brainwashes men.  Just sayin’.

Re-watching Deep Impact and Morgan Freeman makes a more credible President than Trump does. He is definitely more articulate.

Rehearsed scripts and multi-takes tend to do that. You know, because one is a, um, movie.

I'm sure you knew that.

Palmer on 24 was the best black president ever and it isn't even close. Imagine if Obama were more like him.

I thought Trump was a Republican. This is all on his watch.

No, January 6 is the date.  Congress formally recognize Biden as the incoming president.  Pence will betray Trump in overseeing that leaving Rudy as Trump’s last ally.

The walls have crumbled around Trump.  His support has dwindled to just a handful.

Don't kid yourself. His support is still necessary. He is now a king maker, oh, and a billionaire.

Kingmaker, definitely an upgrade from POTUS so I guess Trump's still winning.

And continuing to play the billionaire/almighty dollar worship card?  Bezos & Gates are billionaires and have many times the net worth that Trump has, so do you worship them too?

We shall see.  The Republicans who are still in power aren't going to bring him up.  They won't antagonize him.  There will be little reason for him to weigh in on which ones he likes and dislikes.
Trump's celebrity power has never transferred to other people. The only people who might actually benefit from him are his kids.  And I think his kids will get laughed off the 2024 stage much the same way as Jeb! was laughed off 2016.
But we shall see.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
