Jen Psaki ridicules a branch of the military and then finishes up with (hold your breath) another circle back answer. This woman is incompetent. Her flippant quip is a direct reflection of the people she works for.

People underestimate the importance of the space race with China. People are just butt hurt that Space Force is FOREVER associated with Donald Trump. That is his lasting legacy that won't be done by EO. When you see that flag waving, Trump will be on the mind. Trump is a visionary.

SF will be one of the most critical branches of the military in 30 years, and kids will grow up dreaming about being  Guardians.

There’s already a lot of people dreaming about fleeing Planet Earth these past few weeks.  They just don’t have a ride.

There ya go. After the Democrats steal everything else, children's dreams are next on the list.

Several years ago both China and Russia realigned their forces to emphasize space warfare and the dominance of space. The creation of the SF keeps us ahead of their efforts by allowing us to plan for long term missions, training and procurement without the interference of administrative and budgetary constraints levied by a parent service.

This childish reaction to the SF, which came into being with bipartisan congressional support, by Psaki and other democrats only works to undermine their own responsibilities to the American people and exposes their 'partisanship above all' attitude. Not to mention the signal it sends to our adversaries.

I'm sure Jen Psaki is a perfectly wonderful person, but she is in completely over her head.

She's not. She's always been stupid and her opinions have always been garbage.

But hey, when you support Biden at every turn whilst employed by CNN, you're gonna get rewarded!

Problem is, she isn't a CNN pundit anymore. This is actually an important job, and one the few legitimate remaining journalists in our press rely on to get updates from the most powerful office in the free world.  Like homebiscuit said, she is completely over her head, and love her or hate them, really makes anyone respect the job KM and Sanders did for Trump.

In Joe's America big tech companies censor conservatives only to be told by DeSantis that FL will have none of that. They will be fined daily if they remove a candidate from their platform during an election year. The fines stop when the candidate is allowed back on the platform. He also said it shouldn't be up to big tech to decide what individuals want to see so it should be up to them to follow, or unfollow, anyone at any time.

This is how you fight these companies. Legislate against their prejudice. If you say you're going to provide a platform for everyone you really shouldn't discriminate based on political views. These are private companies and they can do what they want, but they should expect consequences for their actions.

The state of Florida has billions invested in the same big tech companies he's unconstitutionally threatening.

Let's see him put his money where his mouth is and divest.

So what you're saying is... because they agree with your crappy POV it's a-okay?

We need the same laws that the UK has when it comes to this kind of stuff... when your company elevates itself to a public utility (which social media has become) it must use the laws of the land...

So the 1st amendment would actually matter to "private" companies.

So how many executive orders has dear leader signed now?  If I am not mistaken it's over 40.

Let's recap some of those.

- Cancel the Keystone Pipeline  Make us dependent on getting crude oil from countries that don't like us.  Doing this not only empowers those countries, it also puts thousands of our citizens out of a job.  This is all in the name of global warming climate change.  Meanwhile rather than transferring oil from Canada to the refineries will cost a lot more by using trucks and rail to transfer the oil which is much more dangerous to the environment and costly.

- Stop drilling on federal lands  Put even more people out of work and hurting some of the very states that voted blue.  Again it weakens us and makes us dependent on other countries that don't like us.

Those two alone kill jobs and drive the cost up not only at the gas pump of every day Americans, but also the cost of manufacturing and heating oil.

Let's not stop there though.

- Open the boarders up and grant amnesty  So now we have a huge influx of illegal aliens coming into the country.  The words of those not here yet said themselves that President Biden offered it to them.  So now we get to foot the bill for their well-being and healthcare not to mention the "undesirables" that are surely mixed in with them.  So that makes us all less safer.

- Open travel up from countries hostile to us  People have short memories.  Those that support this measure might regret it if/when another 9/11 type attack happens again.

This guy is nothing more that a puppet of the far left.  I don't even think that he knows what he is signing and what the consequences are.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world.  Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Joe Biden is legitimately stupid and vapid enough to have zero clue that he's being used.

I didn't say that at all.
Don't attempt to put words in my mouth.

As things stand, it's unconstitutional for the government to tell a private company how to manage this element of doing business. That may change for internet companies at some point, but this isn't how it will happen.

My actual point was that while Desantis is blowing a bunch of smoke that will probably never amount to anything here - he's very likely not got the balls to back it up by divesting the literal billions of dollars FL has invested in FB and Twitter for its pension fund.

The federal lands drilling EO only prevents new leases to drill on fed lands. It doesn't stop any current or previously arranged/applied for operations.

We are officially in bizarro world.

Are there any lefties on here willing to defend Miguel Cardona's refusal to answer whether boys should be allowed to compete in girls track meets?

You misunderstand.
1) it was Trump's office of civil rights that issued that guidance
2) it was the correct guidance based on the 2020 Bostock v Clayton county ruling.  That ruling was very broadly worded and obviously applies to any federal law implicating gender.  Gender and gender identity are more or less interchangeable concepts in federal law now.  It wasn't a good decision, but that's an argument for another day.
3) Title IX simply needs to be amended/updated to protect girls/womens sports, so, for sports in particular gender and gender identity will be separate categories.  That's up to Congress. That's Paul's department, and he knows it.  But, he'd rather pander and get clips on youtube shared on sports forums than do his actual job.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

I don't know if I'd call that a refusal. I think he was pretty clear that he'd approve of boys competing against girls.
