***Official NFL Combine Measurements Thread***

Then they should say 14-inch UPPER arms.

... or you could just know the differences. NFL prospects don't have 14-inch arm length and that it commonly refers to the diameter of the biceps / triceps.

You mean circumfrence? The diameter can't be 14 inches.

I thouight they measured arm length too.

Yep. I do mean that. I had circumference but changed it.

Quote:Well, here's a classic concession statement.  Don't fall off your high horse; things might look mighty different once you're on the ground.

I implore you to quote anything I said that was either degrading or insulting.

A legitamite question that quite a few others asked, as well.  But I guess since I brought up pirkster's comments in another thread, that made it an attack on a poster and not a discussion of the prospect.  Don't get it?  It's cool; I don't either.

So even by your own admission, it wasn't any big deal, but sure as hell seemed like a big enough deal for you to attack me over it and accuse me of beginning the degradation and making it personal.  Why is that?  Because I called pirkster out on repeatedly downgrading a prospect for no legitamite reason, over such things as decomitting from a program and wearing gloves?  That happens all the time on this board!

pirkster is repeatedly rude and disrespectful to many members on this board with little or no provocation other than disagreeing with him.  I honestly have no idea how he is still a mod, but that's not my call and I'd rather not even go into it.  Hell, I even agree with him pretty often.  I have no idea how it's wrong for me to call him out for falsely downgrading Bridgewater.  I think you'll see that the personal attacks began with him if you go back and read the posts.  But whatever.  It isn't like it matters.

Now, hopefully we can lay this aside and perhaps discuss the topic at hand, hmm?
It's no big deal. I'm way worse than either of you two when it comes to that stuff. I'm a downright [BLEEP] sometimes. I don't have a dog in the fight. I just thought I'd throw my two shiny coins in.

That said, this really has nothing to do with what everyone is talking about, so I'll shut up now. Smile

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

More on topic.

Kelvin Benjamin measuring in at 6'5" 240 pounds...that's a large WR.   Mike Evans came in at 6'4 3/4 and 231.

Well, Clowney has good physical measurables, but hardly special. Will probably still dominate the drills.

There may be other De that are heavier, longer so on but how many are there with his total package of all of that plus such a low body far percentage?

A fair amount actually. His measurables are good (very comparable to JPP, Aldon Smith, and Ansah), but they aren't Mario or Peppers special. He should have Mario/Peppers special drill numbers though, I would expect/hope.

Hope Clowney has a good combine that forces the Texans or Rams to take him

Greg Robinson this year's Donari Poe...not that it's surprising. He's a complete freak.

He's crushing the combine. Big man can move.

For reference Manziel's hand size is the same as Cam Newton's.

Incredible for a 332 pound man to move the way that he does.

I still love the kid and I think his work ethic issues have been overblown.  He will destroy the drills at the combine...I was a little surprised he was down to 266 pounds too.

The film proves it. His work ethic crap shows during games, so everybody can see very clearly being lazy in practice affects game day performance even if you have a lot of physical gifts other players can't dream about. That is why Mike Mayock said there are "red flags all over the place" while talking about Clowney.

Go ahead and pass on Clowney...then watch him and his red flags get 12-15 sacks a year.

While Khalil Mack comes very close to that number.
