Cat attacks pilot on flight to Qatar, forces plane to divert back to airport
Breaching an airplane’s cockpit is definitely a feline-y offense. A flight leaving from Sudan’s capital city of Khartoum was forced to return to the airport last week after a cat reportedly attacked the pilot of the plane. https://www.foxnews.com/travel/cat-attac...to-airport ![]() We show less advertisements to registered users. I never really had much use for cats. That's not to say I'd ever be cruel to one, I wouldn't. With that said, my mom found an Orange Tabby kitten that just showed up at her house one day. It was only about 2-3 months old. She has now had the cat for 2 years and I really like it. It acts more like a dog than a cat. He comes when his name is called, he loves being held and he plays with his toys like a dog. I especially love it when he brings half dead snakes to my mom's porch. She and my sister freak out and they call me to get rid of them. It's hilarious! If all cats acted like this, I would've liked them a lot sooner. I'll always be a dog person though.
I’m definitely team cat. Love the floofy little things.

We got a Bengal kitten a few years back that acts nothing like a "typical" Bengal cat. In many ways she is just like a dog in that she wants attention or wants to sit on your lap. I'm thinking it's possibly because she lives in a household with me, my wife and two dogs. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't. Only cat I know that will offer you a belly to rub if you start petting. Plays fetch. Her farts will clear a room. Eats anything that could be considered food, and destroys packages. Me and fathead cat are best buds. The other one? runs away if I look at her, and when the time comes for meds, I'm basically a pincushion. Waits until we go to bed to start yowling at the top of her lungs, refuses to cover her messes in the litter pan, just an absolute pain in the rump. Screw that cat, the cattest cat I know. About the best thing I can say about cats is that I tolerate them. I have to, my daughters eacy have two.

I love cats. I just don't want to deal with the care and feeding of them, or any animal. If they can feed and clean up after themselves, I'll take one.
Edit: And pay their own vet bills.

The amount of muscle and strength this dog has is scary. However, she's a real sweetheart. She's gentle, calm (except when she first comes into my house, then she goes crazy with excitement) and very well-natured. Other dogs, cats, kids, nothing bothers her. You be her friend, she'll be yours. She climbs all 65 pounds up into my lap and lays there to doze. My daughter claims to have seen her upset only once and treats her almost like her kid. I pity the person that ever poses the slightest threat to my daughter. It would be real ugly. With that being said, I've refused the favor to watch her for a day or two while they go out of town. I don't want to clean up dog piles out of the yard and worry about her peeing in the house, which she does at home on occasion. Plus I don't want to leave her in the house alone if we step out. Raising a bunch of kids was enough. I'm retired from the caretaking business forever. Dog and kid visits are fine, as long as they leave. Now get off my lawn. We adopted a jack russell terror shortly before our aussie passed away. Just sayin', they don't have to be built like a pit bull to be scary. That dog probably had a lot of baggage from previous home(s), but after the second or third attack, she was not welcome in our house. We are now dogsitters as well, the current home isn't ideal land-wise for an everyday dog (or at least a canine large enough for me to classify as a dog), but we still love to have old friends come visit for a few days.

I used to feel the same way about pits, until we found one out in the woods that we "rescued". She's actually a pit/lab/something mix, but when we found her she was "all head" with skin and bones for a body. I'm a dog lover and couldn't just leave her out there so we picked her up, took her to the vet to get her fixed up and "fixed" and decided to keep her. She's very playful (still has some puppy as well as lab in her) but also very protective. She will not let my wife out of her sight while we are on our property and will bark if someone comes over until we tell her that it's alright. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Pits are sweethearts, just like any other dog. It’s the owners that don’t take care of them properly is when the issues arise. We’ve got a pit. The small kind. She doesn’t quite come up to my knee, but she is a rock solid 50 lbs. She’s a sweety. She’ll act like she’ll rip someone a new a hole when they’re at the door but once inside, she just wants some snuggles and lovings.

I've been around a lot of great pit bulls. It all depends on how they are raised. I'd much rather have dogs than kids. Kids cost too much, they talk back and are constantly disappointing their parents. Dogs are always happy, (at least mine are) and all they want is food, water, a comfortable dog bed and some belly rubs. As far as the dog piles go, I pay my niece $10 every 2 weeks to shovel them up. Don’t be cheap with the laborers. Are you paying by dog/week? By the load? Bushel? By the pound? 10 biweekly seems a bit low. Give the kid a break. If nothing else toss her a tip. If your labor gets pissed, it’s very possible she will issue you a “return”.(03-04-2021, 03:10 PM)homebiscuit Wrote: My daughter's boyfriend has a pit bull. Cats are cool. We haven't owned any in years due to the spouse being allergic but we had a cat once with two dogs. I think the cat thought she was a dog too.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.
