Do the Jags have the building blocks in place to draft players with questionable character?

Looking at guys like A.C Leonard and soon to be Isaiah Crowell blowing up the combine I asked this question to myself out loud.

Players such as the ones listed above will be available later in the draft from where they should have been based on various off the field incidents. Do we have the foundation in place to take risks on players like these in hopes of hitting a home run?

I do think that they do.  They may not have all the of the building blocks in terms of leaders/players but the coaching staff, especially Bradley, is capable of handling players with a few character flaws IMO.

Crowell is a guy I hope to see on this roster...stud in the making.

You are talking about guys who will be third day picks, so I'd say there is not a ton of risk. It's not like we are talking about the 3rd pick.

No. Our team is probably one of the better ones to help the player out with the culture we have, but we're not a good enough team to take players that may not be on the field no matter how good they are I.E. Justin Blackmon.

Money and a nice job can help keep a guys nose clean, or it can ruin someone. It's all still a mystery. Even someone like Teddy who seems to be completely grounded could pull a Matt Jones. But I do think with the new culture Gus brings, we could take on the risk if players are told as soon as they step through the door that they will be held accountable and let go if trouble brews

100% sure that if Tyrann fell to our next pick, he would've been it

Gene Smith passed on all questionable character guys and how did that work out? You prob dont want them in the 1st round but the later rounds better to have them guys then some guy with no edge and cant make it in the NFL

I don't even know what this thread means.

No!  If the Patriots don't, who does?  Granted, Hernandez is an extreme example, but why take a guy with known issues?  It's a leap of faith to hope/assume a player of good character won't go astray. If a guy is already having trouble with everyday life, sudden fame and fortune will only give accelerate the problem.

Why would the Jaguars deliberately seek out players with character issues?
