I say one of the keys to that early run for them, and perhaps one of the most underappreciated players on that team was LT Matt Light.

Brady almost always had great protection from his blind side.

Hopefully we can find out Matt Light.

Hopefully, I think Cam has a career year with Urban, Bevell, t Law, and the new culture that will be built

I hope you are right.  He sure seemed to be in a good mood in that interview that made the rounds where he almost let the cat out of the bag about the draft.

Since it's not been raised, a topic for discussion.
Let's say Cincy takes Chase at 5. Does MIA then take Sewell, or do they settle for Waddle/Smith?

I'm gonna be honest. I live a little outside Cincinnati and I listen to sports talk radio almost every day. I cannot imagine the Bengals selecting anyone but Sewell. If they do, the fans here might riot. Even yesterday, one of the local radio guys said the main priority for the Bengals would be to never see the injury cart on the field ever again for Burrow. He was firmly in the camp of getting Sewell and protecting the QB. Chase is a tremendous WR, but the Bengals already have two very good, young WR's in Tyler Boyd and Tee Higgins. You can find a game stretching WR with speed in round 2. You're not gonna find an OT like Sewell in round 2. Not even close. Also take into account that the Bengals only have 1 O-Line position that is stable after the 2021 season. Riley Reiff was only signed to a 1 year deal, so in essence, Jonah Williams is the only decent O-Lineman they have under contract after this coming season. You have to get the O-Line stabilized and the interior for the Bengals is nothing less than putrid!

Two of my best friends are huge Bengals fans and they are already talking about Penei Sewell playing LT, Williams moving inside to LG for 2021 and Riley Reiff playing RT. They could then use the middle rounds to find at least one interior guy to start in 2021. When Reiff moves on after 2021, Williams would then move out to RT, where he would stay, giving the Bengals very solid bookends for the foreseeable future.

This is what I would do too, for the record. If Cincy passes on him, I'd probably be like all of the Pitts-philes around here and start clamoring for us to trade way up for a player

No matter who he takes, many will be upset. Collins would be my choice with the hope Eichenberg falls to 33. Collins seems like a can't miss linebacker with a lot of versatility. Couldn't pass on him.

get the big guys early. If you have them all equally graded, OT is the most valuable position.

Moehrig at 25 might leave me speechless.

I would probably go with Eichenberg.  However, I'm not upset with Moehrig.  He would probably be my second choice.  I'm a big believer that turning your weaknesses into strengths is the quickest way to improve the team.  With Lawrence and Moehrig, we would have replaced 2 of our top 4 needs (IMO) with the #1 player at his position in the draft.  Barmore is arguable.  While the defensive line could always be better, I don't currently see it as a big need.  I would be most disappointed with Collins.

I think you'll like what you see with Fehoko.

You were right.

Finally made the time to watch him, and I came away impressed.

He has a versatile game.  He has the speed to get deep and gain separation on vertical routes, and the size and physicality to win on contested balls, ins and slants.  He adjusts to the ball well.  While his burst won't be mistaken for Tyreek Hill's, his size doesn't saddle him with the lumbering sort of build up speed Matt Jones had.  Whoever gets him will get a mature kid (married) and of course being from Stanford, he's smart.

I am not sure if he is the sort of receiver Urban Meyer wants here, but I think he would be an asset to any team that drafts him.

How so? All I've heard from Meyer is that he covets speed and Fehoko ran a 4.42/40 at 6'4". That's really fast. He's also a pretty decent blocker for a WR. He'd even have time to mature and get better, since he would be unlikely to break the starting lineup as that seems set in stone with Chark, Shenault and Jones. I could see Chark, Johnson, Johnson and Fehoko used on some sets as redzone receivers. Imagine having all that height and speed on the field at the same time? No team would be able to defend that. If I were Lawrence, I'd be drooling over such a lineup around the goal line.

I'm not flat out denying that he is a Meyer type receiver, I'm saying I'm not sure.

I think Meyer has a paradigm for receivers, and my impression (without looking it up first) is that he likes the smaller, quicker, faster WR.  Off the top of my head, the guys he's produced dating back to Percy Harvin and continuing to Samuel and McLaurin all fit that mold.

Edit:  After reviewing Percy Harvin, Curtis Samuel, Terry McLaurin, and Parris Campbell, all are listed at 6' or below and right around 200 lbs.  I'm sure there are others I am missing, but these are the guys that immediately came to mind.

Might he be intrigued with Fehoko's size/speed combination?

Sure.

But my impression at the moment leaves me with some doubt he would fit.

Edit 2:  I remembered Michael Thomas.  He's 6-3 and was a Meyer recruit.   Maybe Fehoko could fit here.
