Solid times for sure.

If anyone can post the Anthony Barr times when he runs, that would be great.  I can't watch NFLN today as I'm at work.

Quote:Reid looks good and I would like to see him here depending on where he gets drafted. I haven't seen a ton of Princeton game with him but everything I've read leads me to think he would be a solid pickup. Looks good for a big guy.

They said the medical staff noticed an issue with a herniated disc procedure he had back in 2011. He said he has been in no pain and has felt fine but they advised him to shut it down because of the risk on his back from "high stress" or something of that nature.

So he was fine to play a full season but not ok to run in shorts? Makes sense

Aaron Donald's number look awfully similar to another guy I really like. Geno Atkins.

I like Van Noy more than Barr. Van Noy doesn't have the athleticism or size that Barr does, but is much more polished, better in the run and coverage, and makes plays on the ball. If we wanted to make our LB corps go from a weakness to a strength (assuming no franchise QBs, of course), take Mack at 3 and Van Noy at 37, or whatever our second round pick is. Gives us two versatile playmakers on either side who can stop the run, cover, and rush the passer. Me likey.

I know. Sad And then I won't be able to watch any live Jags football for over a year. Sad

Whoever drafts him is getting a huge steal. He will be a monster at the next level.

I'd rather have Van Noy too.  He's stronger and doesn't get bullied as much.  Plus Van Noy can be had in the 2nd.

Yeah. Don't get me wrong, I think Barr's gonna be a good player, especially in the right system. I even think that system could be here. I just don't think he has the polish necessary to go at 3. He struggles mightily getting off blocks in the run game, especially. Van Noy has some inconsistencies as well, but he has a habit of making a play when one needs to be made.

Jordan Tripp is impressive.  I didn't know a lot about him prior to today but I'm going to have to check him out.

After watching some of his games, he has no counter move. If his speed rush fails, He just sits there and let's the tackle Hold him.

It just completely depends on what your goal for the player is. Van Noy is a good all around player and all, but he's not much of a pass rusher. I doubt he ever has a double digit sack season, and is probably in the 5-7 range most years.

Barr just lining up at LEO all day can get double digit sacks no problem IMO, and could develop to where he is getting 14+ regularly even.

Of course as was noted, You're taking Barr at 3 and Van Noy at 39 so that's a big factor too. I would still rather just take the QB at 3 and get Lawrence in the 3rd. He's quickly turning into my 'if we don't go pass rusher at 3' man crush haha.

What are the thoughts on Crichton? Seems like a solid prospect.
