Mezcal.. got sick off mezcal once or twice.  I think the worm in mezcal is more of a caterpillar since it's more considered moth larva..

My friend has me in a bad habit of drinking top shelf tequila.  I am currently on a Don Julio kick.

They cut off the barb..
