The Pittsburg Steelers safety Ryan Clark: The Jags needs a qb because we can't sell tickets

#1

He's ignorant for making a ridiculous statement like that on Mike and Mike in the morning today like we're the only team in the league with attendance issues.  I wonder how many other players in the NFL feel the same way and would that stigma prevent us from attracting good to top level free agents to this franchise? I wonder why we're the the only team in the league with this negative perception especially how in the last few years this city has supported this team better than many other franchises around the league.

He also has a twitter account so if anyone want to voice their opinion at him feel free because we as a fan-base has to stand up for our city.

Yeah!

Let's let that guy have it!

He's got a twitter account and stuff so let's put things on there that are mean!

Or...

And this is just me spit-balling here...

We could just let this go by and understand that it's one person's opinion and let the facts speak for themselves. Especially in the light of knowing that anyone who gets their information from Mike and Mike will probably change their stance by the next commercial break anyway.

I'm just sayin', it's an option.

Let it go?  Absolutely not!  We must protect this house!  We must be angry and offended!  Harrumph!

Well, was that the same laid back attitude we had as a fan-base when our own Mark Brunell said on the same show he wouldn't be surprise if we move to London because he's an ex athlete as well. Nope, we as a fan base bombarded his twitter account until he apologized on our local radio show the next day because we as a fan base don't tolerate false information. Maybe that's why people constantly take shots at us because they feel like as a fan base we're weak and they can get away with it. This false information wouldn't be said about other fan bases without them standing up for themselves but if ya'll don't care then i'm sorry for making a thread about it.

Cute picture though and i like it.

People were more bothered by the Brunell thing because of him being an ex-Jaguar, an employee of the team and was about to go in the Pride of the Jaguars.

You're getting all hot and bothered over comments by a mediocre safety on the tail-end of his career. Who cares?

I'm more angry at Ryan Clark for allowing He Who Shall Not Be Named to actually have a playoff win on his resume`.

I bothered about it because it seems like thats the consensus perception around the league from the media, former and current players and other fan bases throughout the NFL.  I'm just tired of us not being respected as a nfl city and being unappreciated for the support of our team.

So I just sent out a twitter message in ALL CAPS. Was that enough? Should I do something in italics maybe? Or perhaps include a picture? I'm a little uninformed about how far I should go with this.

Had he bothered to view ESPN's own website, he'd see we outdrew his Steelers in 2013, 2012, and averaged <1000 people less than Pittsburgh in 2011 and 2010.

uh, we do need a QB.

Being 28th in attendance in perfect weather conditions is nothing to brag about.   Scalpers were selling out tickets for $10 outside the gate last year. Anyone can go to the Jag game pretty much for free whereas if you head to Pittsburgh, Philly, or NY, you need to spend $75 at minimum for a ticket and up to $150 if the team is doing good.  If you don't believe me, just keep an eye on stubhub.  Our tickets haven't had any market value over the past 2 years.

Being 28th in attendance *last year* is not surprising considering we've been arguably the worst team in football over the last decade. Ironically when the team gets to the level of Seattle or some of the other teams the stadium will sell out regularly and we'll still hear about attendance isdues. Who cares?
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

The greatest response to Clark and others who have "perceptions" about our fan base not being able to sell out our stadium is to not get into some silly pre-teen twitter back and fourth, but simply buy tickets, simple as that.
Whether someone has a liberal, or conservative viewpoint, a authoritative figure should not lock a thread for the sole purpose to get the last word in all the while prohibiting someone else from being able to respond.
