Concepts like empathy and sympathy are beyond your knuckle dragging brain. You'll carry a gun for some perverted fantasy where you save the day by killing a human being but you won't wear a mask to prevent the spread of a deadly disease. Like I said; You got yours and [BLEEP] everyone else.
It's like the creepy guy with the dog let DF out of the well for an hour and he found his laptop.

The outcome of that choice lies with the individuals. Whether or not it affects them or others is a whole different conversation. Hahaha, that is so funny, dude. Thanks for the laugh. My kids will choose if they want to wear one or not. It will be their personal choice. I like how Duval handled it; required with an opt out. As well they shouldn't. it is called personal freedom, not district freedom. The Governor's Executive Order protects the right for parents to make health care decisions for their children. I am in full agreement with this. Government should not be mandating how people choose to live their lives. Districts shouldn't have the right to take away your rights.

Update: my school district has decided to do what Duval did: masks for all unless the parents opt out, and the opt out process isn't instant. I think that's a good decision.
I still think the governor's order is a major unforced error. When "red" districts like Duval are all but defying it, it's a bad sign. The polling on it is really bad. This is the first time DeSantis' popularity/approval is less than 50%. Really it's one of the first decisions he made that I disagree with.

You can't get a bacterial infection from your own bacteria. One third of current covid cases are from Texas and Florida combined. I guess this thread shows why.
US senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) disagrees with Ron DeSantis, saying these mandates shouldn't come from Washington or the governor's office, they should come from the local level.
Bill Cassidy understands conservatism better than Ron DeSantis at the moment.
