The war in Afghanistan has been declared officially over. The last U.S aircraft has left and is almost out of Afghanistan air space.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think Vietnam was the only other war that we officially lost.

We didn't lose the "war" in Afghanistan because we never were at war with them. Our mission was to destroy Al Qaeda and to get Osama bin Laden. Part of that involved fighting the Taliban since they harbored him and his ilk. We accomplished the mission. The problem is leaving the region was all done wrong. There was a clear plan in place that the current regime chose to ignore and do it by September 11 solely for political reasons. Thus what the puppet that you voted for got us to this. There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
Viet Nam was a Policing Action.

I read something the other day that was explaining the difference between Vietnam and Afghanistan in regards to winning and losing and that's how it was described. Also, it was officially a conflict, not a war, because Congress never declared it as such.

For me, the definition of war is sending forces into battle. What that action is called (for political reasons) on a piece of paper is meaningless.
When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

We got bin Laden and everyone else who was part of al Qaeda in 2001. They got their country back and we can only hope their new generation isn't as evil as their previous one. So we both gained and lost things, but yeah, no one "won".

Hearing on the radio; Gold star families who met with Biden say he would only talk about his son Beau and not their family members who died.
