I love how we compare Wingard to Prosinski --- 2 slow safeties out of the University of Wyoming. They are both terrible !!!

Can Costin be placed on the practice squad?

To take advantage of the first position in the waiver wire means certain depth guys, like the Costin types and others, will be cut. Just heard that Quincy Williams got cut too.

I was thinking that Quincy would be good depth BUT I guess not.

wow didnt see Costin as a cut casualty coming. Perhaps he just doesnt have a home in this scheme but he played well last year down the stretch. Not sure the practice squad rules and if he'd be eligible but I have to think another team will scoop him up.

Josh Jones gone. and appears collin johnson is as well. he was a guy at the beginning of camp I thought was likely to make the team. But never really stood out it appears. Was turning into a good player for us at the end of last year. Would be stunned if both he and Doug Costin dont land elsewhere.

Josh Jones gone

Honestly, I liked Costin, but we're just so deep along the D-Line, it's not really a surprise. He should catch on somewhere though. He definitely belongs in the NFL.

I'm glad to see Josh Jones go. He never seemed to be in position.

Just proves again it was a reach pick to take him that high because you were worried you couldn't pick him in the spot he was rated in.

He really has nothing but speed. There is a reason he played small time college ball.

Sad to see Costin go, might end up being a mistake imo.

Depends if there are other guys waived elsewhere. It's possible they have someone in sight and we're first.

No surprise. He didn't fit a 3-4 scheme of any kind and may not fit an NFL 4-3 scheme. He was just a bad pick.

I keep waiting to see Jags cut Taven Bryan. I would've thought he would've been in the early cuts already.

They cut Costin so it's getting less and less likely.

The same is true for Wingard(another board favorite). They cut Josh Jones already so it's between him and Thomas except if they keep 6 guys because then both should be safe. At least until tomorrow.

Collin Johnson has too much upside to be released. Hopefully he'll clear wavers and signed to the PS.

Time Will Tell.
