It’s always darkest before the dawn

Guys, this was a tough loss tonight. I enjoyed posting with all of you guys. It’s nice to have such a passionate bunch of fans who can gather on this forum. However, now is not the time to give up hope. It’s been a long 20 year journey to get this point, but we now have the fundamental building blocks in place to make a run for the next 10 years. We have what looks to be a generational quarterback steadily developing, tons of cap Space, and tons of draft picks. Say what you Will about  urban Meyer, but he gives it his all, and he typically manages to put teams on a winning trajectory. I think we’re about to see some thing we haven’t seen since many of us were kids in the late 90s, and that is sustained success.

Sucks to lose but yes, the team is improving. I am still not convinced these are the right people (HC, OC, GM) for the team but we'll see what happens.

Imo Trevor is starting to look better, which is a great sign.

I wanna take comfort from your last statement I really do. But I can’t. Not because i don’t believe in a future with Trevor, but it’s only week 4 and I already now have to wait until 2022. It’s always one more year and it’s honestly defeating for a hardcore fan at times

I'm not giving up hope at all.

In fact, my hope is actually validated despite the overall outcome of the game. We literally got shafted by that phantom defensive holding call when the Burrow got sacked on 3rd down on their 20yd line.

The future is certainly bright, especially with certain pieces in the right spot like Lawrence at QB. After all, this team was 1-15 last year and the turnaround wasn't going to be overnight in any way - but we're setting up ourselves for sustained success given this is just TLaw's rookie year as a 21 year old kid.

Surround him with another weapon or two and bolster that defense - and we have a recipe for prolonged winning. And anyone who can't see this is ignorant to whats happening or purposefully blind - and this is aside from the handful of trolls who crawl out of their caves hoping for our demise just so their thoughts on the internet were right... Don't know why they call themselves Jags fans.

This loss sucked, like any loss, at the end of the day but this is a season for growth. The wins will come and our Jags will prosper.

Duval till we die boys.

I hear you. But it just seems like nothing changes. We always beat ourselves. And draft picks seem to falter. The qb and a few pieces are there on offense. But there’s no Faith in that defense.
Let's Get Em!!!! Go Jags!

I wish we drafted better. We will pick top 5 but I am not sold on the team making the selections.

Team actually played some football tonight. They play tight at crunch time and that is why we can't finish. The talent is lacking right now.

Trevor and the team overall have made clear progress in each game this season.

Its going to be a process, they're aren't just suddenly going to walk over playoff caliber teams.

....when did you start rooting for the Jets?

because 100% honesty, if you watched last night's game and THIS is your takeaway, you might as well stop watching football.

The schedule is brutal but we also have games vs Jets and Falcons. Trevor won't let us go winless, I trust him more after last night.

Trevor is improving game by game. That is all I expect from this team. There's just not enough talent surrounding him. The defense is a mess. We're pretty good against the run, but our pass defense is God awful! No one can get to the opposing QB and no one can cover. That part seems to get worse every week.
