So who else knew when we didnt come away with any points at the end of the first half that we were going to lose this game. Basically somehow for the past 2 weeks we managed to dumb Come Away with the lead and the defense just completely blows it. Once the Bengals took the ball over at the beginning of the second half and basically scored within what three plays oh maybe it was four you knew this game was pretty much over being a jaguars fan.

It is just so frustrating to see the team play decently in the first half I mean almost dominant like and then just totally crap the bed in the second half. It was like looking at a script for the last 4 years I mean basically I had no hope that we will win the game once they tied it back up.

We cannot generate any pressure on the quarterback on third down and if we do they can't get home. I mean how many first downs do we give up two teams that start at first in 20 2nd and 20. It is frankly ridiculous in the NFL to see that on such a consistent basis.

I am just sick of losing. As I'm sure you all are.

To top it all off the wife was at Dick's Wings and man let me tell you for a wing place I had  her bring me home some takeout and they were the tiniest smallest overcooked wings you've ever seen absolutely pathetic. I mean the flats were about the size of my thumb and you were lucky to get three tiny bites off of the drum wing. I typically don't order food from there but I was starving now I know why I don't again. How does that dump even stay in business.

Just topped off another day of watching crappy Jaguars football.

I’d have felt that way even if we had gotten those points.

They're a draft/free agency away from competing on defense. Just can't affect the passer enough right now. Even when they blitz rarely does a player come through the line free.

Also, there's a national wing shortage, we can't even get wings on the west coast.

Imho two years away. That’s if they draft well…and this organization just doesn’t.

I should have said "at least".

Either way, they clearly need more speed and talent on both sides of the ball.

First drive after the half was like, here we go....once the tied, it felt inevitable that we'd lose.

Whoever called that QB option on 4th down needs to be fired.

Y’all act like this team was supposed to be something this year. You can argue they’re actually ahead of schedule.

I thought the guys played hard last night. I also think depth at the back end of the roster needs work.

With 4th and 1 for.a TD I cannot for the life of me understand putting TL in shotgun and running an option play. Put your 6’6”, 240# QB under center and sneak it. Drew Brees @ 5’10” would regularly take the snap and launch himself towards the goal line. Worked EVERY time.

No I did not think the game hopelessly lost at the end of the half. I do have to ask why they didn’t throw the ball to Arnold in the 2nd half. He played well.

Playing not to lose versus playing to win.

Repeat after me:

This. season. isn't about. wins.

You can tell that they are getting close. That's going to build confidence. For far to fricking long our team has played dejectedly, looking for where the next failure is bound to happen. I don't see that today. They are still building. The wins will come, and you have to realize that. The arrow is pointing up. I can't remember the last time we said that about our team.

Full agree on the play call. QB sneak or even a dive to Robinson scores there.

But this whole season is about progress. Coaching included. The arrow is up. If we lose, just a higher pick for a player we sorely need to make the jump next season and to trade to the rams for a 2030 third rounder.

Look man i get that but when you are basically handed a win on a silver freaking platter you as a nfl team HAVE to learn how to take it.  The second half performance was just so awful even for a poor team lime us.

I just dont want to go down as the longest all time losing streak.  Thats a stink you cant wash off!!

We have enough stink already.

I was impressed with the energy level last night. Too many times in recent Thursday night games, we come out flat as a pancake and get blown out in embarrassing fashion.

The team is getting better. Trevor is getting better. I know we need wins or morale will suffer, but I was proud of the way they came out firing on all cylinders last night.

You need to make the decision on whether you’re a real fan or a fanboy. If you’re a real fan you’ll understand this season is not about piling up the wins, it’s about rebuilding. You’ll also understand that rebuilding is indeed occurring. The improvement is obvious with every game and it won’t happen at a rate which will make this a winning season.

If you’re into this under the false expectation that we have a chance to win every game then maybe this is the season to start watching another team or dropping out for a year. The reality is harsh, but it also holds great promise for those patient and willing to see the current situation of this team.

I get it, people are tired of losing, but we have a whoooollle lot more losing to do until great things start happening - and great things will happen indeed.

This is in back to back weeks actually. Jags should be 2-2 but whatever. On to the tacks.

Look at the Bengals 2020 results.  They did the same exact thing last year that the Jags are doing this season, losing games in the 2nd half.

Every season is about wins and the NFL is about nothing but wins. There are no moral victories.

No one said anything about moral victories. It’s acceptance of the fact this isn’t a good football team yet. They will be. We can complain about the inevitable loss, or embrace the improvement and what the future holds.

It's an assumption that they will be, considering we see "improvement", which makes it a moral victory. Last night's loss was not inevitable, neither were the last three.
