Ryan O'Hallorans Jaguar rumors (via BCC).

Quote:I disagree on converting tackles to guards. Those are two different body types and skill sets. Guards are more squatty and have to be able to operate in small spaces.

A lot of college tackles are built and play like guards. Most don't have the footwork to make it on the outside but inside they still have a chance.

I like all those guys as potential LEO's, Griffin and Houston might not be gigantic contracts, but if we want Johnson we probably have to drop some serious cash.

Houston is not a LEO though.

Yea he's defintely not a traditional LEO, I do think he's athletic and strong enough to play any postion on our defensive line. Houston was an absolute beast against the run and pass last year, there aren't too many 6'3 300 LB D lineman that can move like he can.

Houston (IMO) would be an ideal 3-technique paired with Sen'derrick Marks, those two would wreak havoc on interior offensive lineman, there's no pressure like interior pressure.

I like him alot. I think he would be a terrific addition. But definitely not a LEO.

True, I forget how big that guy is.  Would like the signing a lot though.

I'd be happy with everyone outside of Michael Johnson.  I don't think he's going to bring the production (or even close) to the contract he may garner.

Houston would be an interesting addition.

I think the Jaguars will address the LEO position in FA & in the mid rounds of the draft. There are a lot of (especially in this draft) undersized quick twitch athletes that can get up the field,  we should have no trouble finding them in rounds 3-5. That's what I love about this defense, you don't have to spend premium draft picks on the corner or the LEO position if the player isn't deemed as special, this system really does put players in a position to succeed.

We will feast on Pirkster's tears.

You most certainly went out on a limb there.

THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.

RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.

Quote:1. Guard (not center) will be a point of emphasis in FA.

2. The Jags have interest in Ole Miss CB Charles Sawyer, could convert him into a FS (he ran a 4.46 a jumped 37.5 inches at the combine).

3. Ryan O was told mid-season if the Jaguars picked at the top of the 2014 NFL draft they wouldn't use the pick on a tackle (so please stop trolling Junglecat)

4. He didn't seem to think the Jaguars had any interest in Johnny Manziel

5. Ryan O indicated Jadeveon Clowney & Teddy Bridgewater are the Jaguars top targets, he made it seem like if any one of those two players were available at 3, the Jaguars would select them.

6. The Jaguars are expected to cut Jason Babin, and mentioned Michael Johnson, Lammar Houston, Everson Griffin, & Willie Young as possible LEO targets, the Jaguars could show some interest in Chris Clemons when the Seahawks release him.

Discuss

Clowney and Bridgewater are no obvious, as far as FA DL goes, Lammar Houston, and Chris Clemons yes plz, would still like to go after Michael Bennett

but but but...... most of the "fans" appreciate the transparency; said Caldwell is a "breath of fresh air" in that dept.....

You don't see Belichick tipping his hand or other top notch football people. I don't want us doing it either.

Quote:Our interior was a gaping hole before Uche's release, easily the worst in all of football. The entire offensive line needs to be rebuilt.
I really like Uche as a person. We used to talk about Game of Thrones after crazy episodes. Hes a good dude and great guy.

How has Caldwell and the team tipped their hand?

Or are you that desperate?

People aren't that dumb that they can't figure out where O Halloran is likely getting his "rumors" from...

And step 2 of the meltdown.  Building a case for yourself to freak out on FA day, followed by draft day.  Nice.
