Ryan O'Hallorans Jaguar rumors (via BCC).

Quote:I have confirmed this with sources I know on the inside. Jags are definitely looking for impact player with their pick. Their top 10 picks for their board are in this order (and they don't want to trade out of top 10 if one should present itself):

1. Jadeveon Clowney

2a. Sammy Watkins (seems like there is flip flopping between Mack and Watkins as to whom will be #2 on final board)

2b. Khalil Mack

4. Greg Robinson

5. Darqueze Dennard

6. Eric Ebron

7. Hasean Clinton Dix

8. Taylor Lewan

9. C.J Mosley

10. Mike Evans

They don't have Jake Mathews on their top 10 because they don't feel he is a true LT talent (didn't like a lot of film from Rice game got dominated at times as well as other games). Also Bridgewater is the only QB they have 1st round grade on, but he isn't in their top 15.

Only 2 QBs have second round grades on them, I know one is Mettenberger, and Manziel surprisingly to me has a 3rd round grade (they feel that is where he would offer the most value, if they draft Manziel they would like him to sit for a year at minimum).

So there ya go folks
I have heard the same thing but apparently Bridgewater is in the top five due to his impact as a qb.

Top Brass feels like he a "real good" fit for the offense

Pro day will be huge for Bridgewater

They want to see two things:

Whether or not he maintains his size

And his arm strength, whether or not he can truly spread the field and drive the ball deep

Quote:Bridgewater if drafted wouldn't be an impact player because Gabbert would win the startin job while Bridgewater holds the clipboard.

I wish mod's were allowed to ban people for saying flat out stupid stuff like this.

If they drafted Bridgewater, he is the starter, no ifs ands or buts

If no QB in the 1st, all in for Clowney!!

Yes Top Brass feels like he is a "real good" fit for our offense. But he isn't in the top 15 as I mentioned. However, the team is willing to consider him at #6 - #8. Apparently, Falcons/Bucs are enamored with Clowney if he should fall to us, and Vikings might be overvaluing a QB or they want Clowney as well.

But from what I understand if we trade down then team feels confident a guy they like will be there in Round 2 for QB position, if not there at picks #6-#8. They don't want the QB pick to feel forced or like it was a huge reach.

I don't know who you know, but the friend of mine with the jags indicated to me at least that Bridgewater is top 5 on the board (Different people have different opinions though, could be fluctuating)

He could potentially rise to #1 or #2 if he displays great arm strength on his pro day and the ability to hold weight.

Now I think personally that even if Bridgewater isn't at #1 or #2 spot on the big boardthere is a good chance that the Jags will pick him just because of the combination of fit and qb tools

Welp, one of you has some 'splaining to do.

All I know is that if Texans take Clowney like they should, then we are looking at either Watkins or Mack. If Clowney should fall then things could get interesting.

Also, I heard an interesting comparison for Bridgewater......Andy Dalton, basically some there think TB is more pro ready version (i.e. he has much better pocket awareness) of Dalton who was known in college for his ability to read the whole field, make great decisions, and throw with consistent accuracy.

Since, TB already plays in a pro style offense, they feel the transition would be easier for him than it was/has been for Dalton.

Man, get the heck out of here with your fake sources that you probably made up to be popular on the message board.

Quote:1st round impact yes. Top 10 level impact.....I guess not.

Also keep in mind that doesn't mean they wouldn't take him higher than where they have him listed talent wise....

QBs get pushed up all the time, but I think we would have to trade out of the top 5 for that to happen.
But you said in the other post your sources told you "(and they don't want to trade out of top 10 if one should present itself)".  So why would we trade out of the top 5 if one of those TEN players you listed are there at #3?  Which obviously has to be the case, because 10>3 still, right?

You almost had me with your "sources" talk until you listed TE E. Ebron at #6, then H. Clinton-Dix at #7.  LOL, good one man!

But in all seriousness, at this point I don't think the pick will be a QB whether we stay at #3 or trade down to #6.   K-Mack, Watkins or Clowney.  One of those will be a Jag in 2014.

Dalton is a very very poor version of Bridgewater

The comparisons that my friend has most routinely heard have been Wilson and Rodgers, Brunell is brought up too

With all that talent??? Top 3 defense and some of the best offensive talent in the league and he cant get out the first round.

Dalton on any other team wouldn't be as good.

Throwing to AJ Green, Sanu, Marvin Jones, Jermaine Gresham, Tyler Eifert, BGE, Giovanni B.

On top of having a defense that is top 10 and gets turnovers

They should be a superbowl team with that amount of talent

Dalton doesn't have pocket presence and has a penchant for very bad decisions at inopportune times

I have heard that too, but that's only like 1 or 2 guys that were assigned to TBs region.
