And that's why you light up the QB every single time if he's going towards the sidelines. If you get a penalty oh well, but at least that doesn't happen. Can't assume they're just going to run out of bounds.

This is definitely the problem with over calling those penalties.  I can't even fault Rudy for that.

Exactly. That seemed to be what Ford did. Just thought Wilson would go out and just let him go. But this is also part of the 'protect the QB at all costs' modern NFL that QB's take advantage of
