So we effectively get 3 day 1 starters

I dig it alot, I feel that we will get Matthews as well

Matthews cousin is Jerry Rice so that is an added bonus

Unless the team absolutely botches the draft,I don't see any way the team doesn't produce 3 day 1 starters.

WR2- Shorts III

WRSlot- Blackmon

I wouldn't be disappointed if this happened...but I'd much rather have Adams, Crichton, Easley, and more in round two.

In round 3 I'd take Lawrence, Attachou, Smith, McGill, Breeland...lots of people hah.

But all in all it's not bad.

I should clarify

I think these three would be foundation pieces for the next 10-15 years or so

If they are going to go WR in the second round, why take Matthews if Devante Adams is still on the board? I think Adams is going to be Blackmon-lite.

I love that mock draft top QB, WR with 1st round talent, and the best RB in the draft in the 3rd round

Shorts/Blackmon would be outside, Matthews would be rotation and Sanders would be slot.

Adams is good but Matthews is already more polished experienced and would have had just as good of numbers if he played for Fresno st, Matthews put up amazing numbers with crappy QBs at Vandy, they both have similar size, so there is no reason to rave over Adams like he is so much better then Matthews

1. Bridgewater

2. WR Jordan Matthews

3. RB Tre Mason

Even though I don't really want Bridgewater at this point, I like the 3 picks overall.  I might take Center Marcus (who goes 7 picks later to S.F.) over Mason in the 3rd though, then take Seastrunk in the 4th.  We better sign multiple DE's in free agency if it went like this.

What if Minnesota offered their 2nd round pick to us to trade up for Bridewater?  I don't think they want to reach for Carr there at #8.  Would anybody do it?  Picks could be:

1. DE K-Mack

2. WR J. Matthews

2. OLB R. Shazier or OLB K. Van Noy

3. RB Tre Mason or C Marcus Martin

4. QB A. Murray

Pass rush should certainly be better.  Sign a couple of OG in FA.

Nice draft. Just hope we get a pass rusher in FA. Also, sorry to sound like a broken record, but if we take WR in the 2nd, Moncrief presents much more upside than Matthews. Bleacher report compared him to Josh Gordan, wouldn't mind having one of those type guys with us. They also rated his speed as a 6/10 when he ran a 4.40. So take it how you like. I'd like to see Moncrief after working with Sullivan

I have been on Moncrief since he was a freshman at ole miss

I think Matthews comes with more polish but Crief would be worth trading up for another second round pick to get

He is an Andre Johnson clone

If he suits up... I'd prefer Blackmon at #2 and Shorts at slot.  Blackmon can kill on the curl, etc. on the outside.

Very true, would be great in the short to intermediate routes while Matthews/Donte Moncrief work the deeper third of the field

Blackmon can kill from anywhere. Thus, I think you need to keep Shorts on the outside as I don't think Shorts can be as effective from the slot as Blackmon can.

Bridgewater and Matthews would be solid first two selections. However, as the roster currently stands for pass rushers, I would take DeMarcus Lawrence in the 3rd, and take a RB later in the draft.

With good play calling by Fisch and rotation of personnel you should be able to put Blackmon in the slot or the out side, depending on the match ups

Dont think they take a RB that early. Take a couple fliers in the mid/late rounds. Also im kinda meh on Mathews.
