I know everyone has lost faith in the jaguars to do the right thing but I fully believe they have offered Byron the job as most local insiders suggested. the rest is just games from agents of various parties, the only reason nfl insiders get the scoops they get is because they put things out for agents when they ask them to. It’s all a big game. I highly doubt jags were ever going to interview Hackett today, but the story works well for Hackett and the jags to gain leverage on both of there situations

This is why we are doing this [BLEEP] [BLEEP] backwards. If Khan doesn't plan on Keeping Baalke, we should of already fired him and the new GM should be the one hiring. I'm with everyone that Baalke needs to go but the the coach doesn't pick the GM, the GM picks the coach lol. The GM is the coaches boss. If Khan is keeping Baalke on of the first things said is Baalke is the GM. It's all rumors up to this point but if Baalke really is affecting our coaching search he should of been fired before the coaching search even started. If Khan wants Byron but Byron just doesn't want Baalke, Khan needs to fire Baalke if it's gonna happen and hire the GM first then get the coach
That Chris Porter tweet was a rumor a while back, I don't think that's what the hold up is. I think Khan would of made that clear at the beginning of the interview in Baalke is the GM or not and there wouldn't of been a 2nd interview if that was the case. They would of just hired Eberflus

Maybe Khan does know what he is doing. He got burnt bad last year with his ardent decision to open up his arms --and checkbook -- to Urban, so he's playing all the angles this time around. Maybe he just wants to get it right.
