I can't sit in the interview process and know who that is.  I am an outsider observer looking in.   Could leftwich still be our coach?  Sure.   I do not know if he is ready behind closed doors.  IMO, the best way to fix this team is go with somebody who has done it before at a high level.   A Caldwell or A pederson type.   Going with Leftwich is risky because he is going into the job with 0 previous Head coaching experiences.   I just dont' want Shad to hire anyone because they are the popular pick.  I would have to sit in on the interviews to know who I see is the right guy.   The worst thing Shad can do is rush this process right now.

*Remember this is no regular head coaching position.  We are the King of stink while also being the most dysfunctional team in the league.  I think experience trumps anything right now for us.

1) Khan CLEARLY does not care what the popular pick is or he never would have hired Urban in the first place, never would have promoted Baalke, and never would have let Baalke stay this long.

When referring to two rings, I believe he is referencing Leftwich.  He received one Super Bowl ring as a player and one as a coach.  As far as Denver, I don't think it is so much that he liked Hackett, but that he liked that Denver was decisive and made their decision.  I think he doesn't like that the Jaguars are taking too long to sign Leftwich and will miss out.  The Jaguars will then have to get another coach who will be white which apparently will make racists happy.

Just a point on experience vs lack of experience. It seems like a no-brainer until you consider the fact that if you hire a head coach with experience, then you're hiring someone whose most recent record is failure - and failure that is attributed largely to them personally - and if you hire a head coach without experience, then you're hiring someone whose most recent record is success.

No, it isn’t. Something I’d expect from an asylum escapee who found a computer with an internet connection. No one is being racially intolerant, Byron has a lot of upside like most candidates. He also has his short comings,(lack of experience) that’s life. There’s no such thing as a perfect head coach.
