The crazy thing is Uche saying that Byron still wants this job and would happily take it if Shad would just come to his senses and fire the most hated man in the sport.

Byron is too good of a human being for this franchise, he should tell Shad to kick rocks and kick [BLEEP] as the Bucs OC for another year and then take a different much better job next year.

In my head this is how I imagined the Nate Hackett interview went.

Let's remember the year after 17 we went 6-10, Nate Hackett had Minshew looking like the future. He gets canned and its all downhill, he's now a head coach of a storied franchise and likely has the pull to get Rodgers and Adams to go with him. We had that guy in our building, LOL.

Hackett was fired in 2018. Minshew was drafted in 2019.  . Minshews OC was John Defillipo

I gotta wonder if the recent second wave of new candidates is more that Bevell either doesn't want the job, or Khan is desperate to find anyone else willing to work with Baalke just so that he doesn't appear to be compromising to either of the two options presented.

It’s sad when it’s reached the point where I don’t want to see first time head coach candidates that I like (Bisaccia, O’Connell) take this job because I don’t want to see their careers ruined before they even have a chance to begin, but that’s where we’re at.  If we’re keeping Baalke, I’d rather hire another fall guy like Mularky to go down with the ship.  Fangio would actually fit that bill.

It's sad when I just don't even care. I expect disappointment, and have no idea why I keep subjecting myself to this kind of abuse.

There are few highs that can compare to walking through the concourse and into the open air of a stadium, but dang if this whole process has drained every last drop of hope I have for this team.

We are a laughing stock, and every time we take a step away from that status, we swing the axe right at our foot again.

At this point, I think BL was their guy.  Fell through due to the ultimatum.  I think The khans really like Byron and keeping options open.  With the 2 new interview requests/interview today, I think they are essentially starting over to a degree.  I think they are searching for a good option and if they aren’t wowed or can’t find someone that suits him, Khan will reluctantly get rid of Baalke and go with Byron.

If you were Byron, would you take that consolation prize?
You know right off the bat that the owner didn't want the GM you requested, he's going to take a hit getting rid of Baalke, and if you don't turns things around in a hurry he's gonna be breathing down Byron's neck about why his plan ain't working.

If it does happen, it may recoup some of the lost respect fans have for the team/owner, but this whole process has me feeling that this was a last straw. If Khan asks for anything from the city regarding stadium amenities or upgrades, I don't see how any would pass at this point. If he brings in anyone else, I expect fan discontent to overflow on a weekly basis. I'm afraid of how the locker room will take it. 

I've been down this road before, and it gets ugly. I sure hope it's not where we are headed.
