It’s quite incredible how badly this HC search has been handled. It has to be the worst of all time.
Not only have we now lost all 3 candidates who we originally wanted second interviews with, we’ve also lost out on a lot of potential co-ordinators. And all because of Khan’s obsession with Baalke.
What really baffles me is how Khan thinks he can turn around all the bad feeling. He’s been criticised by the fans, ex-players, analysts, reporters etc.

No his comment "It's because he played for the Jags." was bolded and you said "BULL BLEEP". I clearly said Leftwich played for the Jags. Not sure where you're getting the suggestion that Brady did.

It probably didn't hurt that he played for the Jags, but it's not like Byron was all that well liked as a player. If we hadn't drafted Leftwich, the rumor was that Del Rio wanted Suggs. And if we had drafted Suggs that year, we could have had Big Ben the following year instead of Shack reaching for receivers that weren't any good.
Who wouldn't have preferred Suggs and Big Ben over Leftwich and Reggie Williams and to top that off, Matt freaking Jones? Drafting Leftwich set us back years, so if anything, his time here as a player should be detrimental.

Given that we had a month headstart on all the other teams bar the Raiders, I think it’s more a case that people are disappointed that we’re going to be the last team to hire someone. Whoever they hire is going to know they’re not first choice, due to the reports that Leftwich was on the cusp of being hired.
Leftwich may or may not be the best candidate (that’s subjective), but he was clearly the first choice.

The reason we all bought into Byron is because the team did offering him a second interview, majority of people wanted pederson over him originally but the team clearly didn’t so we bought into the positives of Byron. But to hire pederson now no matter how good of an original candidate is just plane desperate and looks shocking to everyone involved , another turbulent year upcoming wasting another year for Trevor

Absolutely. It's not like we're interviewing Fred Taylor or Mark Brunell. So I can't see how that factors into it to a large extent. People gonna think what they're gonna think.
