Same. He was my #2 choice behind Leftwich when this all started. So im not mad about it.

Moreso just relieved this is all over.

I have no problem whatsoever with Schwartz. I don’t know Press Taylor, but if he was going to be Pederson’s choice for OC in 2021, it seems pretty likely that he will be the guy now.

The jags said they would consider him but they wanted to do an open search if Leftwich wasn’t for baalke.

Well, that certainly paints things in a different light.  I said last week that the only fair compromise I saw was that Shad agree to fire Baalke,  then he, Tony, and Leftwich would interview candidates for the GM position, one of which would be Adrian Wilson.  If Leftwich wasn’t willing to at least meet Shad halfway, then it’s hard to blame Shad for looking elsewhere.

It also places that tweet from the Senior Bowl earlier today in much better context.

If your source is right (and I have no reason to believe otherwise), the likely scenario is that Spielman comes in as VP, and Baalke is basically on probation and likely gone after the draft.

It does indeed make it look slightly better.

But to be a Spielman hire would seal it for me

I've heard some early Twitter mentions of Matt Nagy as the OC. & as someone who lives in Chicago and watched plenty and listened to even more... PLEASE NO!

Jags need to bring the heat like cullen did. With a good offense (hopefully) it will be nice to see how this defense can play with leads and with the addition of a couple more pieces

Don't expect much blitzing if it's Schwartz, his Defense is built on pressure from the front 4. It'll be a little more creative than the Bradley/Wash defense's we had in the past, but pretty similar.

Pederson was 51-34-1 in Philly, including 4-2 in the postseason. Before that, he served three seasons (2013-15) as Kansas City’s offensive coordinator and made the playoffs twice.

Maybe he will call plays?

But I would like to say one thing, he would not have been a Superbowl winning coach had it not been for one blown call

Or had the refs not prematurely blown the whistle on Myles Jack's fumble return, he would have been playing a different team in the Super Bowl.

I think that was his point.
I was wrong about Trent Baalke.

No mention about Baalke.. Just get rid of his useless [BLEEP] Shad and do us all a favor for once.

Super hilarious Uche and a bunch of guys on twitter are super mad they hired Pederson over Leftwich.

Feel bad for Byron but he will get his chance soon enough, he will be more ready then imo.
