Caldwell as DC would be nice. He has been with Bowles for 10 years. Very aggressive D.

Would want Vic Fangio or Wink but only because of the proven/experience. But this seems to be a good hire

Sounds like everyone I've heard connected to us as DC has been good and everyone connect to us as OC has been bad.

Outside of Press Taylor, who are you hearing for OC?

I wonder if they were teammates in Philly in 1999.

If this is the same guy, Caldwell played under Belichick in Cleveland and Jim Johnson in Philly, and most recently coached under Bowles in Tampa.

That's a diverse background under three very well respected and successful defensive coordinators.

No idea. Ask his wife maybe?

If he is the current Bucs ILB Coach, that leads me to believe we might stick with a 3-4 defense. I'd be really happy about that.

I was thinking the same thing, although I still favor a 4-3 overall.

It would certainly be more convenient for us to keep a 3-4.

Pretty cool, will be interesting to see if we can get him in the room since all the news beforehand was that he was going to stay as Houston's OC if they give Lovie the HC job.

Yawn. I get it - he’s a name but is he any good? I remember Luck did ok with him but it wasn’t the greatest show on turf or anything.

Herbert broke all the rookie records with him as QB coach, and then Mills was WAY more impressive than anyone expected as a rookie with him as QB coach.

Not really overly concerned with the OC hire if Pederson is calling his own plays on offense.

It is important to have someone who Pederson can trust and someone who will work well with Trevor.

I agree. To an extent. If Pederson is driving the play calling though I just see it as having somebody there to instill the philosophy of the offense and review the weekly gameplan.

At the end of the day. Pederson and Lawrence are going to need to be in sync since he's calling the shots. Doesn't mean the OC's role is diminished. Just means he's probably going to be more hands on from a different angle.

Here's an projected Offensive staff for HC Pederson.

I have heard we are competing with the Texans for Pep Hamilton.

I would like to win that competition.
