I agree, but I don't think his approach to hiring his staff is really more "aggressive" than others.

But nobody said he was more aggressive.  Just aggressive.  Not exactly the word I would pick, but pretty close.  He's doing it pretty quickly.

I like the Farwell hire for ST. There will be no kicking of kickers with him around.

Pederson is a breath of fresh air after last year.  I don't think we'll see a Chris Doyle or Tim Tebow or a "deep dive" into how the NFL works.  Pederson is obviously prepared and competent, and seems to be hitting the ground running.  An experienced, successful NFL head coach with his friendly personality will have lots of friends in the coaching community who want to come here and coach with him.

Tebow is a bum.

My guess is he was proactive about reaching out to prospective staff when he thought he might be hired instead of waiting until the last minute and possibly missing out on some people he wanted. Compared to previous head coaches here, that was relatively aggressive.

Think it's gonna take a lot more to reel me back in. A couple splashes in free agency, a solid draft, a couple wins to start the season. Something like that.

This was the first season that I was so apathetic so early that I pretty much stopped watching games as a whole. Barely knew who was in the playoffs, watched very few games in total. Hardly kept up with fantasy even.

I stopped well short of denouncing my fanship. But I'm waiting to see actual change in this franchises direction before I even feign giving an actual [BLEEP] lol

Tebow is a bum.

He's not a good NFL tight end or QB, but I think he has a nice house at the beach somewhere like in Ponte Vedra. He also has a very popular nonprofit -- Night to Shine -- that allows special needs kids to have a prom experience. I think he does some beneficial activities with his life in lieu of panhandling and frequenting food pantries.

This, the young up and comer like a lot wanted, he's only 34 lol. The Phily Special came from Taylor, brother the young coach that's taking his team to to SB.  We got a good mixture on the staff

My guess is that he presented his staff in his final interview.  Confirmed and unconfirmed, etc.  Some of them may have interviewed as well.

Spielman being added into the front office would be a nice finishing touch. Just seems like if it was going to happen it should have happened by now. Unless the NFL is dragging it's feet with Khan's request for an EVP.

Still think it's ideal and awesome though that Pederson will be calling the shots offensively. Hopefully it benefits Lawrence in the long run. The RPO and inside run zone scheme is suited for him. A lot of it is what he did at Clemson.

It doesn't 100% have to be Spielman, but the only way this makes me happy...or at least placated...is if the EVP+assistant GM Baalke bubble wrap plan happens. If they were just gaslighting us at the press conference and think that if they just ignore everything for a while the anger will go away then this entire situation goes right back to unacceptable.

For now I still believe EVP and asst GM is happening, but my caution meter goes up a little bit each day cause we all know both how much of a snake Baalke is and how easy Shad F's everything up.

I don’t think he would have been offered the job if true.  I’m pretty sure Shad doesn’t swing that way and I don’t believe such an act would be considered good form for an interview for a job not in the adult film industry, but who knows in these progressive times.
