I am drinking the Henne

#1

I believe this guy is good enough to get us into the playoffs with enough talent around him.  This poor guy has never played with a talented team but still performed pretty well under the circumstances.  I believe in Henne and believe he will be a good QB until that younger QB for the future is groomed.  He has heart, leadership ability, and just tough.  He does throw too many ints but with enough time in the same offense and a decent WR group good things can happen.

Vick would of been a better option. He fits Jeff Fishs's offense better than Henne plus he adds another dimension that henne does not.

You can't trust the majority of this board.  Most of this board were gung ho for gene smith, gabbert, harvey, etc

Apparently Hennes deal goes from 8M to 16M if we make the playoffs.. I don't think he will start but if he does he has some extra motivation Tongue

Vick has a better chance at getting on with the Jacksonville Kennel Club than with the Jags.

He does NOT fit into our offensive scheme. Especially hamstrung on the bench.

I cant believe so many are surprised at the resigning of Henne.

It's not surprise, just 100% pure disappointment. Dude is a pitiful QB.

LOL! It's not that much. BCC says his contract can earn him an extra 2.5 mil next year for the playoffs and 2 mil the following year and that's if he takes like 75% of the snaps.

I'm with you man. I don't really care what the naysayers do to rain on the parade.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

Henne is a standard bridge QB. Low cost, enough talent and skill to start (and maybe win) a few if needed. Good in the locker room and won't be a problem child when he's not the starter. I'm glad it's him and not any of the other guys on the FA list (except Schaub, I'd take a flyer on him).
