Has anyone heard anything more about us being connected to Darious Williams? He would be the most impactful signing we've made other than Kirk.

The Scherff signing would not preclude me from going after La'el Collins, especially if he hits the open market.

Given the craziness of salaries this year, we're probably better off trading and taking his current contract.

I definitely would be interested.  If we did, I would rescind the tag on Cam Robinson.  Use the $6 million in savings between Robinson and Collins plus a little extra money and sign a good free agent guard.  We could have a starting lineup of:

Walker Little
TBD Free Agent Guard
Brandon Linder
Brandon Scherff
La'el Collins

Shatley, Bartch and Taylor (assuming we don't upgrade) as backups.

I would really like that for our offensive line.

As far as LG is concerned.... 

Connor Williams, Hernandez or Trai Turner would be good adds. Who do you guys like there?

Please, please, please spend money.  Just do so wisely.  Zay Jones has averaged less than 306 yards and less than 1 TD per season over the last 3 years despite being healthy and we're giving him $8 million per year?!?!?  That money could have been used so much better to improve this team somewhere else.

You pay for potential in Free Agency, not for what someone has already done.

In 2019, he was traded for a 5th round pick.  In 2021, the best contract he could get was a one-year deal for $2.5 million.  Why can no one else see this potential?

Trade DropShenault for a draft pick and get back something before he's in free agency like Taven Bryan going for 5 mill a season.

There's a $20 million signing bonus plus $1.5 million in 2022 salary and $15.5 million in 2023.  All of that is guaranteed.  That is the $37 million that they quote.  I do feel this quote is misleading.  Well no, you never owe a player any money after you cut them.  The Jaguars would have $10 million in dead cap.  However, that is reflected within the $37 million figure that he quotes.  Basically, the lowest possible we could spend over two years is $37 million.  However, that's the minimum.  If he's healthy, he'll get a $500K roster bonus and a $500K workout bonus each year.  He's also eligible for up to $3 million per year in bonuses.  As such, the amount we owe if we cut him after two years will be between $37 million and $45 million or somewhere between $18.5 million and $22.5 million per year.

Why didn't we just trade for Amari Cooper?

He'll definitely outplay Marvin "fall soon as the ball touch me" Jones. He brings a tough run after the catch that can't be duplicated.

The stance you have shows why players think lowley of the Jags. He had an OFF season. It happens, especially with the circus that was proven to be here. Just about the entire offensive side of the ball has to be thrown out. Just as they're doing for TL.

Not many players of his skillset are accustomed to being doubted by their coach because they don't run a 4 3. Being told they're only good for 5 yard ins and outs. When the previous year and their college career they were seen as value. That weighs on you mentally (makes you want to not play) and once you're checked out mentally you start seeing things like drops.

I like it, however Scherff's injury history is concerning. Hasn't played a full season since 2016 when it was 16 game seasons. Last 4 years games played: 8, 11, 13, and 11. That is my only concern. Cappa was kind of the guy I wanted, he is as durable as it gets.

Shenault is on a rookie contract, which makes him very cheap.  With our new WRs, and maybe more to come, we will not be forced to play him if he can't catch the ball better.  The guy has potential.  I would keep him and see what happens.
