36 hours until FA! No opinions from me, just some useful links that I think will help people get a grasp on who the best guys out there are, who might be the mid level w/ upside Sen'derrick Marks type steals, and who out there has the cap space to make the splashes. Hope this helps!

@RapSheet: DE Everson Griffen is re-signing with the Vikings on a huge 5-year deal, per source

Whoa boy. Johnson is gonna be getting 12+ mil I think based on that. They were big on him and turned away quickly to give Griffen bank. Buckle up everyone.

Just saw that man that sucks I really hoped we could get griffin for 6-7 mill a year

Not seeing any way in which we get an impactful LEO for a price we like, folks. Just hope for a couple interior lineman and this will be a success.

Maybe willie young will be a legit target, I can't imagine he gets more than 5-6 a year if that

That looks like a Mincey signing to me. Not as high as Griffin as some on here.

I'm good with all these teams throwing boatloads of cash at players. Let them eat their salary caps up on so-so talent. Puts the Jags in the driver's seat when the right guy does come along.

What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.

We just need to go and get a couple starters on the online, resign Blackmon.

So out of curiosity, who here would be willing to give Michael Johnson 5 or 6 years at 10-12 mil with half of that guaranteed? Very pricey obviously, but all FA is and I do think he would be an awesome LEO.

I don't think Dave will do it but I would.

Not me, I would rather draft Clowney or Dee Ford and I think both will be better than Johnson.

I like Michael Johnson, but I wouldn't give him $60 million over 5-6 years. Griffin's deal is probably where I'd top out at for Johnson, though that shouldn't be enough to sign him. That said, I wouldn't be all that mad if we sign him around $50 million since we have the cap space. I'd just rather spend that money and upgrade multiple positions on the interior of the offensive line.

DE, like QB, is generally a position you have get through the draft because their value significantly inflates on the open market.

I wanted Griffen, but not at that price. He has talent but he is still a bit unproven.

I'd rather spread the cap out and grab multiple upgrades than throw most of the money at one specific player..

Anyone think we take a look at OLB in free agency?

Maybe O'Brien Schofield or Keith Rivers?

Schofield is the name I said should be the #1 realistic option all along. Seems like an obvious fit for many reasons.

Rivers also, was a top 10 pick and won rookie of the year. I think Gus could get the best out of him.
