During the press interview he also noted he was most nervous about meeting and dealing with media. Seems more like he is just understated and quiet.

Good breakdown, but it was about 50/50 in those 1-on-1 battles.

With a missed tackle for a Sack and a TFL.  That's in 12 reps.  The kid pushes the hole closed, redirects sets the edge gets a hit on Brian Robinson and the commentator has the audacity to say that he should have "disengaged quicker."  It's easy to say that when you're breaking it down in slow motion frame by frame.  @ 3:30 the guy illustrates a play action pass.  The commentator leaves out the fact that on play action Walker has to set the edge first, then read for the pass.  When he sees the ball not go to the back he throws Evan Neal like a rag doll, the ball was already out on a short drop.  Even on the Reps that Neal won in the run game, you could still see that walkers length consistently affected his pad level and he was never finished to the ground or taken out of a play.  

GA's defense ran a lot of finesse up front.  As a strong side OLB we're not going to be asking him to intentionally engage the guard or the center so that a MLB can come on a blitz.

Yeah. He can line up at end, tackle or linebacker as well. I just don't know how you approach him with the first overall pick though. He's not going to dominate in one particular area and that's where my concerns would be with him as a rookie. 

He'll get lost in the shuffle if the coaching staff cannot hone in on what he's good at and just let him stick with that. Still put off quite a bit with only one solid year of production coming off the heels of playing around Jordan Davis and Devonte Wyatt. 

I don't like this pick. I would rather have Jordan Davis over him or even Ikwonu.

I completely agree. He’s basically a poor man’s Melvin Ingram when he came out of South Carolina. It took him 4 seasons to flourish. Both had versatility.

Even if Walker has that same type of production, it still won’t be worth the first overall pick. Wow!

Bro, this is slander!  Melvin Ingram was 6'1-1/2" ran a 4.79 with Short Arms (31-1/2").  

Travon Walker is 6'5 ran 4.51 with 35-1/2" arms.  It may take him a while to develop, but he's not a poor mans anything.

I have a good feeling about Travon Walker the more I look into the way Georgia played defense. It's not as cut and dry as the stats would suggest. He is raw tho, but god his size/athleticism is outstanding. Much like Trevor in a sense, he's got the elite tools now let's see what he can build withem.
