Hopefully he plays awesome and helps keep ETN fresh until Robinson comes back.

He's 100% insurance for if Robinson isn't ready to fully go come week 1. They're basically the same kind of RB.

The first 4 picks: Yea!
The 5th pick:  alright, alright
The last 2 picks:  meh

The only glaring deficiency of the draft was not adding a quality pass catcher.

The picks of Lloyd, Muma, and Walker make the draft a preliminary B+.  Final grade tbd in 2025.

You expect way too much from 5th/6th/7th round draft picks.

There are still a handful of names I like quite a bit, and a handful more that I like quite a bit as upside dart throws.

Although it wasn't at the top of my needs list for late round picks, I did mention in my initial day 3 message that taking a couple of cornerbacks in the late rounds was a possibility.  Both Claybrooks and Herndon suck.  I'm glad that they brought in competition.

Montaric Brown is considered good in zone which is what we need to run anyways because of Tyson Campbell.  Others have different opinions, but CBSSports rated him as the 88th best overall prospect in the draft.  If CBS is right, that's good value at pick #222.  Brown tied for fourth nationally in interceptions and was first team all-SEC.

And chances are those guys wont amount to anything just like the majority of these late round picks.

I get it that you like your guys, but that doesn't mean it's doom just because they didn't take your guys.

I hear people mentioning wide receiver, but we needed a starter or at least a quality role player.  At picks #197 and #223, the realistic expectation is third string or special teamer.  I think we've already missed the boat for what we needed at wide receiver.

We signed Ryan Satoso in FA

Yes, as I said, we need to upgrade kicker.  Satoso was signed to a veteran minimum salary with no guaranteed money.  That doesn't prevent us from bringing in someone better.

Hopefully Ross goes undrafted and Trevor convinces him to come to Jax.

I'm Loving the results of this 2022 NFL Draft. W/O patting myself on the back, we drafted Darn Near every position off of my wish list. We were thin at the LB position and we corrected that deficiency. We needed a Center and we drafted one. We desired an complimentary PR, guess what. We needed an RB for assurance due to previous injuries at the position. GOT EM! Let's pray that the selected first four rounders are productive early and often.

Time Will Tell.

Sat back and thought about the last 3 days. Before we would draft almost in a predictable way. the sportswriters would say we did well. The board would be neutral to somewhat positive. (we never can be positive is seems) I wanted them to fix the o-line with early picks, they did the opposite. I can't imagine why the guys that wanted them to go edge and defense are irritated. That is unless their particular guys were not selected. We do need to remember they had a ton more information on the prospects than anyone on this board. None of us talked to their coaches, teammates or interviewed them. We didn't watch them play or do we evaluate every day as a job.

One thing I can see is this year is really different, after 10 years of almost the same maybe different is better. If you look you can see they actually had a plan and executed it starting from the beginning of free agency. I can't remember us doing that ever. So I'll stay hopeful that the plan and different approach pays off where it counts, on the field.

Well at least Trevor has an outlet TE and tons of WRs and RBs to take the pressure off. Hoping for the best expecting the meh.
