Do we want him? Looks like Bucs cutting him if they can't get a trade

3 years 30 mil Is what I'd offer

Believe it when I see it.
He'll probably just go to the Eagles, Patriots or Niners anyway, if he becomes a FA....
I would definitely give him an offer
THERE IS A SKELETON INSIDE OF YOU.
RIGHT NOW. THIS IS NOT A JOKE.
Its hard to say what i would offer but are defense is perfect for his style of play. Tampa didnt use him right last year with the zone D and Lovie plays the Tampa 2. Revis needs to be on a defense man to man is where he excels. Is he the same player though? I dunno if he is or ever will be. That says I seriously doubt Dave calls him but it wouldnt hurt to put in a offer, worst he can say is no.

I'd offer our 4th and 5th that we got from the Ravens lol

What a bonehead decision to get him in the first place. Paid waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much money and draft picks.
I wouldn't trade anything for him, but if he became a FA, I'd try to sign him.
If you trade for him, you inherit his current contract. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Oh Tampa...lol. 16 mil and a 1st round pick to rent Revis for one year.
I'd say make an offer, but I think Dave is ok with his CB situation.
Fundamentals are the crutch of the talentless
; ;
A first-round pick, a fourth-round pick and $16M. That just might go down alongside the Herschel Walker trade someday.
If he hits FA, yeah, you'd have to kick the tires and see what he wants. He'll probably bolt straight for a high-profile team that's expected to contend for a title. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!

He was almost a JAG.
Jets traded up and snagged him. If he came here he could at least stay in Florida with its favorable tax climate. It would be a hefty contract. Headlap
When they have no time, they think about it!
When they go down hard, they think about it! Just watch Peyton, Andrew, Caep even Mr. Bundchen. Quote:He was almost a JAG.He would be a year removed from his ACL injury/surgery. I would consider signing him, carefully. What I wouldn't want is for him to want to renegotiate his deal a year or two into it. He was in constant contractual acrimony with the Jets, and I wouldn't want that here. If I could be convinced he wouldn't be a pain in the butt in contract negotiations, I might be willing to sign him. Worst to 1st. Curse Reversed!

Are the contract negotiations all that detrimental though? I agree with you that it can be tiresome for the fanbase, but how much does it affect the dynamic of the team? I mean, Front Office guys get paid to negotiate contracts, it's what they do. Let them earn their pay, nothing wrong with that. Now, if Revis is making a horse's rear end of himself in the Locker Room, Practice Field, et al then it may need to be reconsidered. However if it's simply a matter of the team having to sit down at the negotiating table with the man every few seasons, that isn't a detriment to me.
I'm trying to make myself more informed and less opinionated.
Stop saying whatever stupid thing you're talking about and pay attention to all the interesting things I have to say! Quote:Are the contract negotiations all that detrimental though? Quote:I'm talking the locker room, etc. Just don't want him being a distraction for us like he was with the Jets. I figured that you were, and I agree with you. Then again, I don't think the New York Front Office handled his situation very well either. They let him live on that rookie contract for far too long, and might, might have avoided some of that if they had locked him up long term a lot earlier.
