Here they are below. That's a 230-240lbs Reddick tossing/pushing around a 310-320lbs Taylor with ease. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I'll be happy as long as Trevor has a career similar to or better than Carson Palmer. I'm hoping for Peyton Manning or Eli Manning of course, but Palmer, can't complain.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.

But if we're talking strictly QB play I'll be hoping for much more than Eli. (10-03-2022, 10:39 PM)Eric1 Wrote:(10-03-2022, 10:23 PM)nejagsfan Wrote: I mean I saw it live.... it's pretty bad.... Lawrence is 2 missed TD passes and 2 dropped TD passes from leading a 4 - 0 team this year potentially. I think when it's all said and done the kid has shown improvement. Again, the fickle fanbase.
"He's yet to show he can come back and win a game" He's had a whopping 21 game starts. He did lead a comeback to win in London last year against Miami. I get it. Close games are going to happen. However, those same crybaby [BLEEP] fans were nowhere present when he was getting it done at a high level of play at home in the opener and on the road in L.A. Also. You can CLEARLY see it was Urban Miller last year and not Trevor Lawrence ruining this team. Doug's coaching and the confidence that's coming out of that locker room WIN OR LOSE is very indictive of that fact. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? The defense played out of its mind.
I’m curious if Matthew Stafford is a “bust” yet? He threw a horrible pick 6 down 8 in crunch time and bounced 2 or 3 others off of defenders chests last night.
Clearly, he can’t read a defense, adjust the call at the line and crumbles under pressure… Good qbs have bad games and have good games where they’re “lucky” to get away w a few throws. Odd how some people here are rooting for Trevor to fail and hurt the team they’re supposedly rooting for simply to be “right” on a forum… I don’t get it. A lot of QB's struggle. Even the great ones. People want to crucify this kid after 21 games. When he showed flashes last year in a dumpster fire of a situation and has honestly looked completely different during the first four games this year that would lead you to believe he wasn't [BLEEP] when he said that momentum would carry over from his week 17 performance of last year into this year.
I just can't get this fanbase at times and the local media. NOBODY thought this team had a snowball chance in hell of being 2 - 2 this year, let alone, looking as good as they have even in those 2 losses. Still leading the division. Still 3rd in the conference. I just hope they slap the piss out of houston and indy coming up over the next two weeks. The team and coaching staff seem to respond well to the [BLEEP] and they back it up with adjustments and play on the field. I just think it'll all come together here soon. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? I, who was born in a naked land and bred in the open sky. Exactly. This is such a young team making strides every week. Setbacks like this will ultimately make them a better team. When this all comes together, they are going to be a VERY good team. They already are good. This team is going to be better week 17 than they are right now, if we can win the division, we'll be heading into the playoffs at the right time and are going to be a hell of a tough game for anyone. It amazes me how good they've looked so far, especially knowing they are still growing together and barely scratching the surface of their potential
Got to say that Trevor is growing on me. Since I don’t follow the college game, all I have is whatever evaluations I can dig up. I thought the ‘generational talent’ hype sounded a bit much (still does, but that is just the term), but so far this season I have mostly liked what I have seen. Before game 4, he had one INT, and that was the last play in game one and more a desperation move than a bad read.
Looking at the first four games, I think most of us would have been happy being 2-2 at this point. Regardless of what game you play, openers live their own lives and a lot of surprising results happen, yet we have been close in both losses. The Eagles are at the top of the power rankings for a reason, and I am more surprised that we slipped two spots for losing to them. Trevor did some key errors, but it is hard to win when the defense gives up 200 yards on the ground. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
Never understood the hate for Trevor. Especially last year with the Urban situation and the lockeroom and coaching staff essentially telling you that Urban was out of his [BLEEP] mind.
It would be one thing if Lawrence had addressed the media, say, like Josh Rosen did during the combine and draft process. Or, had he pulled some trade nonsense like Eli Manning did when the Chargers selected him. If he was over the top with his attitude like Cam Newton or a little bit too lippy and mouthy for his own good like Baker Mayfield? I would understand the hate. He's very humble though. He didn't tout himself as some generational talent neither. That's up to the media and analysts to make that determination. So far this year though he's playing pretty damn good football while learning a new system and gelling with new players. ![]() "What do I know of cultured ways, the gilt, the craft and the lie? Nice, I have only seen the NFL one, and thought it was strange considering we lost to the No. 1 team. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I honestly can't remember having such a complete team since the Brunell days. Offense, defense, special teams, coaching..
Very excited for the future, and this team will only get better!!

I've been thinking about this more too, and it just seem even more absurd to me. Who cares if he is or isn't a generational QB right now. He is the current QB of the Jags. Despite any flaws he has, he appears to be more promising than other QB that the Jags could have drafted in 2020, 2021, or 2022. I know there are some Mac Jones supporters, but MJ appears to be in a poor offensive situation as TL was last year and he is playing as poorly as TL did under UM. He is not perfect. Virtually no pseudo-rookie QB is perfect. But he shows enough flashes that he get good enough to get to and win a SB for a team. Plus Super Bowls are won by teams and full rosters combined with good coaching and some luck, not just the QB. Unless the argument is they Jags should cut bait for a QB in the 2023 draft class/FA, the whole argument just seem only designed to troll people or defend some prior take on draft day. If they want to critique what TL is doing poorly and can improve on. Great. Most of the board is doing that, and understand he definitely has areas to improve right now.

They still see the growth and potential with this team. Today the Jags actually made it in the Herd Hierarchy for to 10 best teams/teams on the move. (I'm not sure when the last time they were on that list. It was probably a few years ago when Jalen said they were going to the Super Bowl and winning.) And they weren't #10 on the list either, lol. They were #9. Cowherd was talking about how it's not the end of the world that they lost to Philly and pointed out that 3 of their first four games have been on the road. He said the team has a good front seven, lots of weapons and praised Trevor again. He also mentioned the upcoming games they have against teams like the Texans, Giants, Broncos and Raiders. I could see the Jags winning at least two (maybe more) of these games. |
