*** Official Game Day Thread - Week 5 - tinhorns @ Jags ***

ETN had some killer runs and we still lost. You don't win without a decent QB. It is what it is.

Wrong, the tinhorns won with the run. We could've beaten them if we'd done the same thing.

I feel like Pederson forces a committee and doesn't know how to properly roll with the hot hand. Etienne was feasting and we went away from him for a while, I just don't get it.
Championship Formula:

1) Draft Trevor Lawrence!
2) Play good physical Defense!
3) Keep 91% of the roster healthy!
4) ???
5) Blank #2
6) CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

To be fair, you didn't evaluate him, you were just mad they didn't draft the guy you wanted.

Incorrect sir, i did not want any of the qbs from his class. Sadly we didnt have the option. I thought kyle pitts/ jamarr chase were the top players that year but there was 0 chance we werent taking a qb. The only thing i said id do in terms of qb was trade 1 for watson but that was prior to his massage room fiasco

And there goes Wentz being Wentz. We are now 3rd in the division.

And the tacks win as Wentz throws a pick. I hate the NFL.

He just needs to run the ball in the red zone. This isn't complicated, we're not playing to our strength at the critical time.

Robinson 10 for 27. unless he's injured, that's not good offensive strategy. Pederson almost pulling a Meyer.

2 plays lost this game for the Jags..

TLaw's endzone int and Walker's personal foul.. I think without those 2 horrible plays, Jags probably coulda squeeked this one out.

Lawrence has yet to put together a TD drive in the 2 minute drill. He's gotten us a FG when the score is tied, but if we're behind or need a score to tie or win ... he's come up short every single opportunity in his young career.

I know this is supposed to be his "real" rookie year, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't concerned. It was his birthday 1-2 days ago, i'm wondering if he just didn't focus on this weeks gameplan like he should have or normally would.

Was it his birthday the other two weeks he turned it over with the chance to win or tie?

You use the word lethargic and you are 100% correct in using it to describe the Jaguars.  You can tell how they will play by the way they take the field at the start of a game.  Amble around slowly like they don't want to be there.  Most of the time they display no enthusiasm.  Think of the energic way they played in the Colt and Charger's game and compare it how they played today.

Off the Lawrence hype train. Pederson may need to adjust his approach and philosophy soon because his QB has let him down two weeks in a row with turnovers and failure to execute on some key plays that were open.

Need to start running it more with Robinson and Etienne from more traditional formations.

Unfortunately not a strong QB class coming up neither in next year's draft so we're going to have to hope like hell Lawrence figures it out I guess.

Would be looking at a trade with San Francisco for Jimmy Garropollo next year or draft a QB like Stetson Bennett or Jordan Travis out of FSU late to develop.

Really a shame. I thought maybe after the colts/charger games maybe lawrence would at least give us a chance but now he looks like he did his rookie year the past two weeks, even worse. 7 turnovers in 2 games and super ineffective

Ditto, thanks, CBS, for rubbing that in our face immediately following the game.

Excuse me for being tired of wasting draft picks on bums like lawrence, bortles and gabbert. It gets old after 11 years

Which guy did you want them draft there? None of the QB's in that class have shown they could be in the conversation for MVP or lead a team to the SB?

Just because Lawrence hasn't met the ridiculous pre-draft hype, doesn't mean you were right.

Trading for Jimmy G might be the most [BLEEP] [BLEEP] take I have ever seen.  He is the only thing holding his team back.

They won with defense, we had 6 points today
