This team was the worst team in the league for the past 2 straight seasons. You wont even have a chance to win games if you can't at least field a half competent team. Doug and co. has got this team to not only be competent, but to be very competitive in 1 off season. Are you secretly JaguarsWoman’s alt?

With that said I dont believe he feels this way. It's doesn't take years to change a franchise around anymore. We have one of the best QB prospects to come out in the last decade, a SB winning coach, set a free agency spending record, 2 1st round pics this year, and already had some core players like Josh Allen, JRob, Etienne, Campbell, Cisco, , Cooke, Cam etc. We are a better team than our record. The Giants and Jets have been about as bad as we have been the past 5 years. It's doesn't take years to turn things around anymore. I believe in Doug but he went 4-11 his last year in Philly like Searcy was saying. We have to start winning games, that's how you get better I'm one of the few that wanted Doug and not Byron, you got the wrong guy. There were a few that it was Byron or bust. Even if he doesn't get to .500 doesn't mean it wasn't about wins, it's always about wins. It doesn't take years to turn a team around??... so what? you expect it to be done in less than six games.... That's ridiculous lol... we have one draft class/free agency under a new head coach new coordinators and a bunch of new players.... Everybody knows well "apparently not everybody" knew that this season would be looking to see improvement...and we're seeing it We show less advertisements to registered users. We are better than last year but just being better than last year is a low bar. And to say we are showing improvement, we are showing improvement from last year but I want to see progress and improvement this year. We won 2 in a row and have lost 3 straight, that's not improvement, that is going backwards. After 3 games we were top 5 in most categories, we have since been dropping in almost every category since week 3. Hopefully we can beat the Giants and get on a win streak, that would be improvement

I'm not happy with close losses and I don't think anyone on here is "happy" about it. But in a thread called "perspective", it's good to have some. The losses suck but if you can't see the difference between this team and the teams of the past, you're shortsighted. We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today!
I'm preaching patience. I was also screaming at my TV when Doug called Wildcat at the goal line and Option on 4th and 1. I also cursed both Walker and Griffin repeatedly. You can be both patient and disappointed.

Keeps the D from being able to sub/adjust. IIRC there was quite a delay from previous play to lineup and snap, and it made no sense to try there. The Hasty TD is what happens when we use our big men effectively. Same with the Lawrence TDs, bust the ball in behind the big Uggs and good things will happen. Edit: JRob took that house call on 4th an 1 as well, that's twice in a few games we've taken a Down and 1 play over 50 yards on a power run play. “An empty vessel makes the loudest sound, so they that have the least wit are the greatest babblers.”. - Plato

This upcoming game is huge for this team. Get a win, and the optimism can return. Lose, and you are 2-5 with low morale

The Giants are the only real “surprise” team in this group since they do have a 1st year coach - but even then, they aren’t starting very many rookies/2nd year players. The Falcons and Jets have had coaches in place for a full season. They’ve had time to adjust to their mistakes. The Jags’ foundation is being laid, but it hasn’t solidified yet. You also mentioned these teams having the same talent level - no. Wrong. Saquon Barkley is a top 3 RB in terms of talent. This dude can and does take over a game. When this dude is healthy, the Giants are a problem for the majority of teams in the league. They also have some pretty good receivers. I’m still not sold on Daniel Jones, but so far, he’s avoided costing them games so far (how long that’ll last is anyone’s guess). However, they do struggle without Barkley, which is why the Jets and the Falcons are, long term, better overall teams. Their teams had rough 1st years under their new coaches. They are making some progress this year, but they still aren’t expected to make the playoffs - even though they could surprise us if they don’t suffer too many injuries. Long story short: Give Doug Peterson a chance to renovate this team (talent, staff and culture wise) and stop moving the expectation needle in the middle of an ongoing season.
Just throw strength of schedule out the window this season
Everything is off script this year
I think we’re gonna see how much progress we’ve made Sunday. If we hang tough fine. If we get blown out, well shucks. I wouldn’t want to be here Monday
