It's been a rough stretch for him and the team and Doug to be honest. You see the good moments and then he has a bad one. I mean, his first interception today. I didn't see a replay but wasn't that almost exactly what he did a couple of weeks ago? The one against Houston he just didn't see the DB but should have taken the yards on the run. Today's....I don't like throwing on the 1 unless it's a PA. Just smash that thing in but that's something we've struggled to do. Lawrence seemed a bit too focused on his Receiver and missed Simmons getting in the throwing lane. It's a bad play but I think it's more on Lawrence forcing it and trying to make the play. It's something he needs to stop doing but I think he's just trying to be 'the guy' with those plays. I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.

We should totally get rid of Lawrence lets start over again and then do it again in 3 years. Let's ignore every analyst who says this is basically his rookie year because that's how bad Urban was because us as fans know more then any of them.
You all dog on Lawrence for his play then turn around and make excuses for Josh Allen for doing far less.

Lawrence isn't improving. He's making the same boneheaded mistakes. He's not mentally strong and I don't know if he will be able to snap out of it. We'll have plenty of time to figure it out though because I'm not sold on any of the quarterbacks coming out. Every Bill's fan said the same thing about Josh Allen. I'm not saying there isn't call for concern but how about we get him a real WR first. Agreed also the only way he could have survived Urban is if he is mentally strong. If Lawrence makes no progress next year then it's time to think about the future but if Josh Allen thought us anything it's that sometimes you need a few years to figure it out.

The nice thing is that we are Stuck.
I would draft a guy in the 2nd or 3rd next year. Trevor start next season and we see how he is. If he plays great and is a definite franchise guy, great! If he’s not at least we have some options.

Most of the games regardless of what happened prior... we have the lead at the middle/end of the fourth quarter and the defense blows it.... We could easily have four more wins under our belt maybe five if the defense could actually do its job when they're supposed to.... But all the Trevor haters come out and say well Trevor should have put up more points.... sometimes it doesn't work that way....lol Now some are saying that Trevor doesn't score any points it's the running game... So Trevor sucks when we score points to take the lead... Trevor sucks when the defense blows the lead... Trevor sucks when we lose the game....see the pattern.... I'm waiting to win a game just to see the trolls say well it wasn't really Trevor who won it.... Or he didn't win by 50 gazillion points So it doesn't matter He's regressing (10-30-2022, 07:03 PM)jj82284 Wrote:(10-30-2022, 05:54 PM)Eric1 Wrote: I don't think so. Here we go with the defense again. No one is giving the defense a pass. But, if you're going to say that the defense is supposed to do the job it's supposed to do then maybe you should also say Trevor is supposed to do the job he's supposed to do. He has ended FOUR games on the final drive with an interception or a fumble. FOUR. Trevor threw for less yards than Etienne rushed for. I'm going to go ahead and give him a share of the blame like I blame the defense. |
