What if he has a performance like today, the team scores 25-30 points, and they lose with kc scoring 38?

Is it only a step forward if the defense doesn't collapse?

It's a step forward if he plays smart football the way he did today, win or lose.

Oh come on. You’re already setting him up for failure.

Not only are the Chiefs a top 3 NFL team, Andy Reid is notorious for killing it after a BYE week.

I don't expect to win, I'm just saying it would probably do wonders for Trevors mental state to play well and beat a power house like Mahomes. Even if it's close and he keeps us in it, it would be good.

Yup. They play the Tacks tonight.

Hope they demolish the tacks and then somehow lose to us. That would put us 1 or 2 games behind in the division.

I mean that’s essentially a BYE hahaha

My mistake.

Haha they don't have a big passing threat. They just have a really awesome QB who does make mistakes. Limit the big plays and we can won.

I don't see why people think that I'm soley blaming Lawrence in past games based on wins/losses. I was in this thread in the 4th quarter when the Raiders had the ball and could have easily took the lead saying this was his best game yet.

As a fan, yeah I want to see wins. But more importantly I wanted to see progress from Trevor specifically because the team will ultimately be good or bad depending on his trajectory. And today was a step in the right direction, even if we had lost he brought us out from a 17 point deficit and looked really good. In other games, he didn't look nearly this composed.

Sometimes people get a reputation this place can be hard to change perception. Your not wrong in the past he hasn't look polished today he did. We should all be happy today

I'm happy, I hope he follows it up with a better performance next week. Nothing better than a Jaguars W on sundays.

We won guys, had a great comeback win. O looked good, D played a great 2nd half. Today's a good day and we showed that when we get our [BLEEP] together we can go down the field and score points and we can stop elite WR's and hold teams.

This was just what the team needed after being on the wrong side of some close games. Today we showed they are improving. There's still a long way to go and there will be more bumps in the road but you saw it today.

Plus Lawrence was great today. Put the team on his back to bring us back into it and made some big throws and runs under pressure. Again you see the glimpses of what he can be and how high his ceiling is.

Enjoy the W!

Of course he has to keep showing it. But he has been showing it. He navigated us through a train wreck as a rookie. He’s made some rough plays this season but so has every QB. He’s our guy. He will only get better. He’s not that type of player who gets worse or plateaus. He cares. He’s a baller. Y’all need to have some faith in OUR guy. He can’t go out and beat the chiefs on his own.

i THINK i love you...

Gonna need long clock eating drives because I have no faith in this Defense stopping their Offense. Keeping Mahomes on the side line is the key to winning that game. Gonna be a tough one regardless.

Next 4 weeks...

@ Chiefs
Bye week
Home vs Ravens
@ Lions

Theres a large difference in my blaming Trevor for the loss, and me pointing out that he has a tendency to choke in game deciding moments. That was the first of 4 turnovers this year he made on the final drive of a game that could have lead to a game winning score.

Raiders fans have to hate us. We beat them in their final game in Oakland too lmao.

Lol but you don't ever call out the defense.... never recognize Trevor when he makes a comeback late in the fourth....you call him out for not pulling off a comeback with a minute left.... No credit that he took the lead in the first place....which most QB's can't do...and sometimes the best of all time can't always do

Trevor played really good today outside a couple throws and that pitch to hasty, which not sure who's fault it really was. Made some really good throws on those 4 straight scoring drives, to give us the least and then the win.

Coaches made adjustments at the half and raiders basically couldn't do anything in the 2nd half. It was nice to be in the other side for once.

Great job jags.

What are you talking about? I been talking [BLEEP] about Griffin/Herndon all week. The difference between the defense and the offense is that replacements are much easier to find for defenders, finding a QB is the most difficult thing to do in sports. If a few of our defenders suck, we can easily replace them in the offseason. If Lawrence sucks thats a much larger problem. But also expecting the defense to hold on to a 3 point lead is also being selfish when in many games, we had the chance to put a large gap between us and we throw a pick on the goal line or just drop the football.

I think it was a bit of both on that pitch fumble. Trevor probably could have gave him a better toss, but Hasty still got two hands on it.

Hasty [BLEEP] that one up. It's a shame that counts against Lawrence.

Agreed that was 95% Hasty. Ball hit him right in the hands and I think he was thinking about what move he should make before he actually got it secured.
I'm condescending. That means I talk down to you.
