It's just that CB2 is the current hole in the roster.
The Depth Chart will sort itself in camp - just acquire the talent.

I don't think looking for a lesser talent than Campbell is the right strategy, it should be getting the best CB you can get within the constraints of cap management and draft capital distribution/strategy. If that guy turns out to be a bona-fide lockdown #1 , great.
If he turns out to be behind Campbell on the depth chart but better than the current options behind Campbell, also great.

I'd say if we spend a pick in the top half of the draft on a CB, and he's not better than Campbell, we made the wrong pick.

Agreed. If you're not convinced that Keelee Ringo or Joey Porter Jr. are on par, or, better than Campbell? Don't take him. You should be looking to fill needs there that SHOULD have better overall value there to begin with. WR, TE, DE & NT in particular.

They all are

These are all legitimate needs. We should probably draft BAP from any of these positions.

Our most need is to Continue Learning how to Win under the new regime. Alleviate the drive killing (offense) and drive extending (defense) penalties. Minimize the turnovers, mental errors and our Jaguars will be just fine. The OL is ranked within the top 10 in the run and passing game. You can't ask for much more. As we continue evaluating and adding to the roster it'll be more defined of whom we'll need at specific positions.

Time Will Tell.

Top half of the draft (in which case I probably disagree - that takes us well into the fourth round) or top half of the first round (in which case definitely)?

That growth will come naturally. The problem is that we're entering next off season with some glaring holes that need to be filled (that's what she said).

My biggest concern is WR, TE, G & RT offensively. My biggest concern is NT, CB & DE defensively. They invested so much money and draft picks on defense over the last two years that you would have to think the offense has to be the next logical facelift that they pursue in 2023.

It has to be. I know everybody is hyped up on Jalen Carter and Keelee Ringo for us in the first round of next year's draft but I really think this team is going to continue to get better and win a few more games to where those two guys shouldn't even be on our radar realistically.

I would think with all of the mid round picks that Baalke has acquired will be put to good use as well but primarily it should be going towards the offense. You have to land a tall receiver with speed, you have to land a receiving threat at the TE position and you have to double down IMHO. This is a good enough class to where you SHOULD be doubling down at these two positions.

Sorry, top half of the first round.

New Owner and Vision

Then time and talent at every position on the team. Considering how mediocre the league is getting, I guess we aren't that far away form being not mediocre which means you can make the playoffs. Sports in America is in a sad, sad state of affairs.

I'm afraid a new owner's "vision" would include another city.

For me no. 1 need is corner opposite Campbell. Also need D line either inside or outside would help. However if there's a no. 1 receiver I'm taking them even with the Ridley trade. Trevor is everything for the Franchise and helping him trumps all else.

Defensive Coordinator

In no order:

TE
WR
LG
RT (Taylor is a FA I believe and I am not sure I wanna re-sign him)
CB
Pass Rusher

I am a fan, not a cheerleader.

San Diego would never approve the funding of a new NFL stadium. Plus it couldn't be called the Chargers. I think they are happy with just the Padres.

St. Louis sued the NFL and the Rams owner and won in court. The bad blood between that city and the NFL is huge. It would basically require the NFL taking a large mea culpa and not asking the city to fund anything, which they will never do.

A 6'2-4" lock down corner.  In this league we're going to be playing a lot of nickel, and quite often we're going to use a DB to spy the several mobile QBs we'll face, not a linebacker.

After that, we need a rock solid DT that can collapse the pocket and draw double teams every play.

3rd...a better version of Josh Allen.

4th... a #1B WR.

Brandon Scherff is no longer that dude.   Next season I want him gone.

That big TE from Georgia would look good in teal.
Respect the game.  Play with a sense of urgency.

1.)  Take care of the ball.  Win the turnover battle.

2.)  It's all about 3rd down.  Win on 3rd down to win the game.

3.) Playmakers make plays.  The only reason that you put your uniform on is to make plays. In order to EARN your paycheck, you must make plays.

Learn from the great collapse of 2023.
