As differential as Jamal Agnew is on Special Teams Returns, other than Trevor Lawrence, Agnew is the player on the Jags Offense that concerns me as a Lions fan the most in the upcoming game between the teams.  Especially, if Agnew is matched up against Will Harris, who has become the Lions primary slot CB.  Harris is the type of player who can play every position in the Secondary but ideally is providing depth.  Bills slot WR Isaiah McKenzie had an impactful game against Harris in the Thanksgiving Day game.  

It will be interesting to see if the Jags coaches give Agnew more Offensive snaps against his former team.  At the very least, I expect the Jet Sweep look on multitude plays by Agnew and /or by one or more of the Jags other skill players on Offense.  The Lions # 1 problem on Defense this season has been with contain against QBs that have the ability to impact the game with their legs.  The Lions Defense against more conventional running plays has been decent.

I really think Kalif Raymond is a concern against our secondary though. He's the guy I am worried about if we're not getting around Goff. I could see him snagging a few critical 3rd down conversions and even take the top off our defense if the ground game gets going against us early. 

Goff and Lawrence look identical on the stat sheet. Will come down to who protects the football and field position. Should be fun man. Hope to see you in the gameday thread!

I want to see much more 4-3 looks this game. I think our LBs are better suited in a 4-3 and I think Allen and Walker are better with their hand in the dirt. I know they really wanted 3-4 and we gave it a shot but 4-3 should be our base imo and I'm even good with the 3-4 / 4-3 hybrid like this past week.

This game will be the test to see if we are becoming a good team or if last week was a fluke.  We beat the Dolphins and Bills last year, we always beat a team or 2 we shouldn't.  If your a good team you should beat the teams you're better than.  Our dline vs their oline will be crucial and they have one of the best olines in the league.  Can they step up?

 I strongly agree that the Lions O-Line vs. the Jaguars D-Line is a unit matchup that's going to go a long way in determining the outcome of the game. 

The Lions injury situation on the Offensive Line is uncertain.

IMHO, the # 1 reason the Lions ended up losing to the Bills on Thanksgiving Day game was the matchups of the Bills DTs vs. the Lions Guards. Jonah Jackson, who was voted as a Pro Bowl alternate last year (in his 2nd NFL season on a losing team), was out vs. the Bills with a concussion.  Evan Brown, who is arguably the best backup Center in the NFL, has been starting at RG out of necessity because of injuries to the top two options.  Brown missed the Bills game with an ankle injury he suffered in the road win at the Giants.  Brown apparently didn't practice today.  The Lions were overmatched at Guard against the Bills to the extent that DT Ed Oliver was the AFC Defensive player of the week.  At least two other Bills DTs impacted the game.   Having Jackson back would be huge for the Lions.  But the RG situation, coupled with the uncertainty with Penei Sewell (who finished the Bills game), are major concerns on this end.  

For the Lions Offense to be effective for most of a game, it's essential for the other team to respect the Lions Running Game.  Jared Goff and the Lions overall Offense is much more effective and efficient off Play Action passes than on drop back passing plays.  That much more when the Lions Offensive Line is without one or more starters.  After seeing the impact that Jags DT DaVon Hamilton had against the Ravens, I'm definitely concerned if the Lions will be able to sustain the threat of a running game.

Jags are still kittens,yes they won a exciteing game vs ravans still haven't had a 3 game winning streak.   the lions are not the same kittens they once were,they had a 3 game win streak which was ended by a good team like the bills,when jags had won 2 in a row they lost to the winless Texans in Jacksonville.  The lions have growen into what a person would call mid-range cat age.  our jags are still kittens.  I'm not saying Jags can't beat the lions,just no game will be a cakewalk.

1 total TD from Lamar. Held them to FGs all day. This is an elite QB former MVP who reaks havoc on most teams, so yeah i'd say to his standard we held him back.

They may need try him out on the outside. He was touted as a weakside linebacker to begin with coming out of Utah. Hopefully they don't dick up his development like they did Myles Jack.

Would rather find out now that he's not the inside backer we need instead of moving him around too much.

Muma was a natural inside backer at Wyoming. Not surprising he's finding himself in the starting line up with success. Lloyd should be on the outside and covering man to man on one side of the field or in zone and they need to pin his ears back on 3rd and long.

The Lions RB ( Halfback) rotation has become a trio, with former LA Chargers RB Justin Jackson being a substantial factor as well.  D'Andre Swift missed several games with ankle and shoulder injuries. While Swift has still been a differential receiver since the early season injuries, he has yet to regain the dynamic rushing skills he displayed in the season opener against the Eagles. 

With injuries being a primary theme at WR for the Lions this season, Kalif Raymond has been a major part of the Lions being in position to win in the vast majority of games.  The usually under the radar Raymond is way undersized by NFL standards but has more than held his own as a blocker.  With Amon-Ra St. Brown being the primary WR focal point by opposing Defenses against the Lions, opportunities have opened up for Raymond.  Regardless of how many snaps former Jags WR D.J. Chark (who has been greatly setback with an ankle injury related to his season ending injury at Cincinnati last season) and Josh Reynolds get against the Jags, I believe Raymond will continue to get opportunities on Offense.

Amon-Ra St. Brown reminds me to a large extent of former UGA and Steelers WR Hines Ward. The passion and dedication of St. Brown is off the charts.

Trevor Lawrence has made enormous strides. His poise and leadership, on what became the Jags winning drive against the Ravens, was evident.  Adversity is highly likely in an NFL game. How one responds to adversity is critical. Lawrence put the fumbles behind him, with clutch play and skill level reminded practically everyone watching the game why Lawrence was the clear # 1 selection in the 2021 Draft.  With more experience, I believe Lawrence will get rid of the ball on the type of plays that he fumbled on against the Ravens.

Hopefully, both teams won't suffer any significant injuries during the game.  

I think this game is going to be a combination of a physical game and a chess match.  Both Jags HC Doug Pederson and Lions OC Ben Johnson are innovative coaches.  Defensive Coordinators Aaron Glenn and Mike Caldwell have to be on top of their respective games as DCs.
