Who are we going to take, Bridgewater or Clowney/Mack?
|
1. Sammy Watkins, WR
2. David Yankey, OG 3. Travis Swanson, C 4. Aaron Murray, QB ? We show less advertisements to registered users. Accounts are free; join today! Quote:Alright, time to put up or shut up. I want to do this so we can look back to see which camp was right come draft day. The Teddy thirst in this franchise the past year has been honestly embarrassing to me and despite all indications being we're not that high on any QB in this draft, some in this fanbase are still adamant that we will choose Bridgewater no matter what if he is there. So, pick now, who do you think we will take, if Bridgewater and Clowney/Mack are all there. I'm putting my money on one of the pass rushers.....Why would Teddy, Clowney, AND Mack all be there at 3? In that scenario we are definitely trading back. That means the tinhorns take Bortles or Manziel. And the Rams take an OT. Which would be the greatest thing ever. We can take the #1 guy on our board, whoever that is, or trade back a few spots, maybe with ATL (Clowney) maybe with Detroit (Watkins, or Clowney) And gain even MORE picks and still get a highly rated player (Mack or Barr or use picks to move around and grab a different QB in bottom of 1 or top of 2)
I think there's a better chance of all of them being there than people realize. People are just assuming the Falcons are going to trade up for Clowney no matter what, and it's not the case. They already have too many needs and a lack of picks. If that happens it's going to be hard for the Rams to find a trade partner, and they'd be more inclined to take Robinson than Clowney. And I just don't see the Texans passing on a QB with their first pick.

<p style="text-align:center;">But that same man can get lost in the sauce."
I really think the Jags are leaning Bridgwater. If i remember correctly I remember Dave Caldwell going to a couple of his games this past year. The signs are just pointing to it...DC is also loading up on the D now and got rid of Gabbert....he also had a lot of comments that made it seem like he was looking like a QB like Teddy (Combine interviews, Fan FOrums). I just don't see how Teddy would not be a fit here.
If Clowney is there though I think we would take him. Doubt he would be there though. Mack seems to be the pick if both those guys are there. Watkins I don't see happening. The Draft has a lot of good WR that we can get in the 2nd/3rd round (where many good WR every year are drafted every year)
Go Jaguars! Go Hokies!
; ; Infamous Out..
I would love Clowney....but I don't think he falls.....I have to say Watkins, especially after 2 days into free agency......one of the QBs might be a pick if they are rated higher on the big board than Watkins (but I seriously doubt they are)

I dont think Watkins makes it past the Rams though unless the trade down
I'm a huge Bridgewater fan but seeing this team start to form over the offseason; I think I'd like to go the developmental qb route and take Clowney/Mack even Watkins. I'm becoming a fan of the team mentality and not putting all the eggs in one guy.
The teams that have been winning consistently lately are the teams that are built from top to bottom and I think in the long run thats easier to sustain then praying for the next Brady |
