IRS silent on timing of visit to journalist Matt Taibbi’s home, how often it makes house calls
Taibbi has played a key role in exposing Twitter’s once-secret internal communications The IRS was silent about how often it dispatches agents to people’s homes Tuesday on the heels of journalist Matt Taibbi saying he received an unannounced visit from Uncle Sam at his New Jersey residence. Taibbi, a Substack journalist who played a key role in Twitter owner Elon Musk’s efforts to reveal the social media juggernaut’s once-secret communications, was visited by an IRS agent on March 9. That was the same day he testified before the newly Republican-created Select Subcommittee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government about what he learned about Twitter. https://www.foxnews.com/media/irs-silent...ouse-calls We show less advertisements to registered users. That's a disturbing story. The Congress (or somebody) needs to get to the bottom of it. On the face of it, and without hearing any explanation, someone at the IRS needs to be fired. And if it goes deeper than that, this is extremely serious.
Hey man.. it's just the government. We can trust them. I mean, if there were really problems, the right people will get punished. I'll return in a few weeks when we have this problem completely resolved, and it didn't just get ignored until we all forgot about it.

Good to see you do a have line in the sand for your “tolerance” of trusting government.

At some point you just have to let go of what you thought should happen and live in what is happening.
Something doesn't add up. They send letters for things like this. Maybe Taibbi is making it up, or maybe some third person is pranking him.

That's entirely possible. So far, there's been no response from the IRS that I know of. It's possible the IRS is trying to figure out who did it. But, if true, it's a huge story.
Let's revisit this in 2 weeks when nothing gets done about this and we all forget about it. Here's another thing we can forget about:
